Bright orange color with a slight rim of bubbles and moderate lacing.
Aroma of light bourbon, caramel and butterscotch.
Flavor begins on the sour side, then progresses to orange peel and coriander. Bourbon taste is subtle, mostly near the finish.
Nicely complex, and decent body, better than the non-oak version.
Very nice indeed. We had the last bourbon bottle, sorry!! NoiZe (1440), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

Alcohol, sweetness and honey on the nose, not particularly interesting. Sweet flavor with some honey, hops in the background. Warming, full-bodied and well-carbonated. Sweet, honey finish with some alcohol and bitterness. The beer doesn’t present itself as very balanced, probably not the best beer to barrel. 090822 jerohen (1634), Bussum, Netherlands

Better than the bourbon barrel version. And that’s about all my notes say. Fin (3548), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

The alcohol is quite heavy and this is a little sweet. Bit fruity with the wine cask influence a touch muted, I might have got a little woodiness I’m not entirely sure. Pours lightly muddy orange-yellow with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Nice lacings. Aroma has grapes, apple, quite a vinious note and lots of sweet, sticky malts. Medium carbonation, nice fat mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly fruity, oak, dry, light vinious, sweet malts, grapes and apples. Finishes with fine green apple zestiness.
