Bottle at Peter’s RBSG. Pours a cloudy pineapple orange, headless. Aroma is bubblegum, cat piss, and lemon. Fortunately, there’s no cat piss in my mouth: flavor of lemon, bubblegum, and apple cider. Some spice in the finish. Some good qualities mixed with some overdone yeast.

Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s RBSG 2010 thanks to Larry. Pours apricot. Nose is fermented fruit and oak. Taste is light earthy wood, sweet fruit and tart finish.

Bottled (from bierkompass.de). Reddish orange colour with mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is wood, some sourness as well as alcohol and some mild grapes. Flavour is wood, alcohol, a bit winelike, some sourness as well as some grapes and mild spices.

Eye: amber - slightly ruby red Nose: Gentle yet full bodied impression in the nose (due to alcohol?). Nice tint of wood, with nice and warm wood hints Mouth: a full and warm beginning, sweet in the mid-bridge , gentle bitter at the end - alcohol is present all the way

750ml Bottle - Hazy dark golden colour. Fruity aroma with dried peach, fruity malt and apricot. Sweet and fruity taste with apricot, toffee, dried fruit and a moderate bitterness.

A clear golden/amber colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is fruity and malty, winery. some sweet. The taste of wood with fruits, like grapes with alcohol. The aftertaste is bittersweet with hints of alcohol.

Bottle poured by Glenn at the brewery - thanks Glenn! Bright orange color with a slight rim of bubbles and moderate lacing. Aroma of light bourbon, caramel and butterscotch. Flavor begins on the sour side, then progresses to orange peel and coriander. Bourbon taste is subtle, mostly near the finish. Nicely complex, and decent body, better than the non-oak version. Very nice indeed. We had the last bourbon bottle, sorry!!

Tasted at the first, great, Borefts Beer Festival 2009 @ De Molen. Amber colored brew. Very nice aroma of bourgogne wine. Flavor has got the vinous tones too, some sweetness, fruits and a bit oaky. Nice.

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of ChristianScheffel. An almost clear, golden beer with a white head. Alcohol, sweetness and honey on the nose, not particularly interesting. Sweet flavor with some honey, hops in the background. Warming, full-bodied and well-carbonated. Sweet, honey finish with some alcohol and bitterness. The beer doesn’t present itself as very balanced, probably not the best beer to barrel. 090822

Tasted at 1st Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven. Amber coloured. Fruity notes, a bit sour. Better than the bourbon barrel version. And that’s about all my notes say.
