Draught. Mustard seeds? Really? Good or bad I didn’t seem to notice them at all. For me the aroma and flavor was reminiscent of sour cherries. I also did not notice the 11+ ABV too. Okay.

750 ml bottle @ redlight redlight. Funky oaky aroma with sour mustard aromas. Pours a hazy orange with no head. Oaky upfront with hints of mustard and hints of brandy with some citrus and apple notes as well. Very smooth and sweet. Very interesting and different!

Thin, off-white, sloppy head of varying sized bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Nice complex aroma. A slight bit of funkyness in there along with lots of vinuous white grape aromas, some herbs, a hint of bret and some soft grainy malts. Color is a slightly hazy dark copper. Flavor has a little zip to it from the funky tartness that accompanies the spicyness from the mustard seeds. The tartness keeps the mouth salivating and begging for more while at the same time drying out the palate. More white grape with only a minor alcohol presence. Some belgian yeast and a tad of straw round out the late palate portion. A pretty good brew that will not be a hit with everybody.

From bottle, 33 cl. ( at beerzolder sat. 17.01.09) Very good ! A hazy dark golden, almost amber color, with off-white head. Aroma sweet, malts. Complicated, and medium to full body. Taste sweet, alcoholic, woods, ... Nice creation ! re tasted yesterday @ alvinne.

Draft at Farmers’ Cabinet. Pours a hazy pale golden orange color with golden yellowish-apricot hues and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Chunks of lace left behind. Sweet boozy aroma with a strong barrel character. Hints of earthy oak, vanilla and brandy along with some funky yeast, mustard seed and citrus fruit. Medium bodied with a nice combination of earthy oak, zesty spice and boozy heat. Lots of spice especially coriander and pepper up front countered by earthy oak, vanill and prominent boozy sweet brandy. Althought the spirit flavor is prominent, it’s not too hot making it pretty quaffable. Sweet citrus notes with more of a pronounced mustard character than the base version. Spicy finish with lemon and orange peel toward the end of the swallow with a nice warm finish.

bottle at the Pre-ZBF pours amber with no head. Aroma is fruity and sweet smelling with faint wood notes. This one turned out more bitter than the Bourgogne, but it is a pleasant spice/earthy bitterness that shines in the finish. A very nice and enjoyable beer.

Acquired in a trade with phaleslu! Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with white head. Aroma has loads of fruit like apple and peach. Some spice is there too. Taste is sweet with some underlying fruitiness and a little spice. Medium bodied and smooth. A little alcohol burn is there. Really pretty awesome and it exceeded my expectations considering the mustard seeds.
