Bottle at the Alvinne pre Zythos event 09. Bit of apple on aroma, way too much apple in the mouth. Just a bit too muh stewed apple and green apple flavour for me. May settle down after a few months in bottle.

Had this one at the Pre-ZBF 2010. Hazy orange colored brew. Aroma is hay, fruits, sourness, vinous. Flavor is vinous, fruits, pear.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Slightly hazy amber with a tiny, big-bubbly head. Mild, fruity aroma with apple and peach, a touch of citrusy hops, and some caramely maltiness. Lightly sour-grainy-malty, sweetish and very fruity flavor with apples, peaches, and oranges, very little bitterness. Alcohol quite well hidden. Medium to full body, flat CO2. The vanilla sourness in Mackmyra version was quite pleasant, but Calvados barrel seems just to add loads of fruitiness, pretty much reducing complexity of the original. Add the flat CO2, and youíll get a pretty dull and lifeless, although pleasantly fruity and rounded brew. 5336

Draught. Mustard seeds? Really? Good or bad I didnít seem to notice them at all. For me the aroma and flavor was reminiscent of sour cherries. I also did not notice the 11+ ABV too. Okay.

Bottle, 75cl, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. An unclear, golden colored beer, flat as a pancake. Berries, honey and a generic fruityness in the aroma. Pretty vinous too. Itís full-bodied and almost flat, with boozy notes. Apricots, honey, vinous booze and some faint peppery notes in the flavor. Lasting boozy finish. Not sure about this one, I like the vinous touch although itís too boozy, but then itís too boozy... Nice aromas and flavors though. 140215

From a shared 75cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours hazy amber to orange with almost no head. Mild aroma of caramel with hints of wood and calvados. Nice stuff.

Bottled at pre-Zythos bash, Alvinne, March 2009. Very murky pale orange colour. Sort of rubbery appley aroma. Almost cider-like. Lots of quite sweet vanilla oak and spirity notes that were rather dominant and didnít seem perfectly integrated into the beer. Some residual sweetness. Didnít really do it for me - possibly a bit green. Maybe one of the few beers that I think I might have appreciated more with some bottle age.

Bottle @ Pre-ZBF. Clear orange pour, no head. Aroma of hops and wild yeast. Flavour is sour wild yeast with a bit too sweet champagneish wineish flavour.
