Bottle - Whit wine vinous notes, light tartness, caramel sweetness and some light candy sugar. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Lots of vinous notes and sourness with some sweet caramel. Very much dominated by the barrel and not at all a barley wine.

500 ml bottle - sampled at home. Pours hazy dark orange to amber with a fine head with soapy bubbles. Refined winey nose with lots of oak but a Morpheus character to it as well, it is not disturbing, but takes a bit away the subtle components of the Malaga barrel. Light and sour body, slight sweet undertone. Taste is funky sour, hints of grapes and oak, Pity that the initial character of the beer has dissapeared a bit.

Bottle sample @ BAB’14.

Sampled 50 cl. bottle @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Dark orange with zero head. Nose is pure vinegar, sour malts, sweet wine mixed in. Taste is tart upfront, vinegar going over into sweet sugar, glue (noted same in another Malaga BA beer from Alvinne), thick malts, caramel, chocolate, not a mix that entirely makes sense, not sure where the sourness comes from either. Flat body. It is not a bad beer just a bit confussed about the idea & sourness.

15cl from bottle @ Brugs Bierfestival. Copper colour, no head. Typical Alvinne fruity sour punch along with sweet Moscatel wine and cask, old-brune like, a little bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent, but not too well presented (warmed up, no head or carbonation: I think a sample from a long opened bottle).
