Very cloudy dark amber colored body with a thin yellowish khaki head. Smells of bananas and cinnamon. There was also some fruity spice of black pepper. The taste has some spicy mustard and cinnamon. There is also a tropical note of pineapple in the finish. Nicely done while feeling very heavy on the tongue.

draft @ redlight redlight. Sweet belgian yeast aromas with spices coming through in the nose. Pours straw blonde with no head. Sweet malts up front with some alcohol, spicy hops with hints of the mustard seeds. Its just a little too hot with alcohol.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Borresteijn (2596) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 11, 2009
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Unclear golden amber colour, lots of yeast, white lasting head. Aroma of sugar, alcohol and fruits, a lot like a strong lager/malt liquor. Flavour is fruity, alcoholic, sweet, medium bitter finish. Fullbodied, but tasted too much like a strong lager made with Belgian yeast.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (5970) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 4, 2009
330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009)
Deep gold, off-white head. Very boozy and estery, a bit of pine floor-cleaner. Tingly fruity malty body, very boozy, plenty of esters, but they’re spiky, not well integrated. Finish is sweet, boozy, and pretty hoppy. Not enough balance to make any of it work. Too boozy, if you hadn’t worked that out yet. The hops are nice though.
