3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hellbilly (2857) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - DEC 25, 2010
mustard beer! bottle at papago 7/8/10.
hazy yellow color with a sandy off white head... huge bubbles in this one.
the nose is really yeasty.... along with pale malty sweetness, florals, spice, banana-y alcohol, wood and mustard seed earthiness on the back end.
the flavor is the aroma... only sweet, yeasty and very floral. mustard is faint on the finish (along with some bitterness) but definitely there.
medium to full bodied. a little grittiness in the texture and some warmth from the booze.
simultaneously neat-o and weird. 6/3/6/3/14/3.2

33 cl bottle thanks to ekstedt! No visible BB date, side of label not marked up. Sampeld on December 15, 2010 Cloudy orange color, small off-white head. Alcohol, spicy, sweet, fruity, almond paste scent. SWeet, alcohol, cloying, apple taste. Massive alcohol warmth in the aftertaste. Dry medium high bitterness. In the nose also a dry wood like acidity. Ratehr OK, but I’d like it better had it been lower in alcohol, perhaps around 8% ABV instead? Would not finish a bottle by myself.
