2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (3582) - Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 18, 2008
The aroma is malty, yeasty, spicy, and herbal. The appearance is hazy gold with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma but it’s not something I love. The palate is thin but smooth. Overall it’s about what I expected but it’s not something I want again.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Borresteijn (2756) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 11, 2009
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Unclear golden amber colour, lots of yeast, white lasting head. Aroma of sugar, alcohol and fruits, a lot like a strong lager/malt liquor. Flavour is fruity, alcoholic, sweet, medium bitter finish. Fullbodied, but tasted too much like a strong lager made with Belgian yeast.
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 beersearcher (1472) - Glendale, California, USA - MAY 29, 2010
aroma is very interesting. nice spicy, brown mustard notes in the nose. then the flavor kicks in and nothing special. mustard has nothing to work against or with. large alcohol bite to this.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Grima (1572) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2012
Extremely strong gusher!!! Lost nearly 90% of the beer. Fucking Shit!!!!
The beer in the glass is brownish-orange, slightly cloudy. Pleasant smell yeasty and sour, of raisins and plums. Starts yeasty-sweet, with lots of raisins and plums, also sugary and alcoholic. The middle part is also yeasty and sugary-sweet, plum and raisin are once again represented in the background. Goes into a sweet and yeasty, alcoholic finish. (Point Loss cause of this extremely gushing attack!!!)

Bottiglia da 33cl andata a male; la voto per fare un +1. Spero di berne una buona la prossima volta.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Frank (2054) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2010
I am not sure why I bought this. It does not strike me that an ale brewed w/ mustard seeds could possibly be good. It smacks of pointless experimentation. But what do I know? This is actually a really nice looking beer. It gushes but once poured is a nice cloudy orange color w/ a great head of tight white bubbles that lasts for forever. The nose is thick, sticky malts, a bit of bubblegum and w/ sort of a English barleywine-like quality from earthy hops. It is syrupy and heavy on the palate to the point where it strongly affects drinkabilty. The sweetness overwhelms and there’s really no carbonation or anything to serve as a counterpoint. I am finding myself struggling after a few sips, esp. after the burning alcohol presence creeps in. Finishes w/ yet more sweetness and a bit of bitterness verging on being metallic. There might be some fruity or spicy flavors going on under all this but, honestly, there is nothing up front to compel you to look for anything. This is bad and it’s not bad because of the mustard. I don’t know what to make of it.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Adenila (1459) - DENMARK - MAY 13, 2007
Wasnt too happy about this one, was served the remaining cl’s from a bottle which meant all the remaning yeast ended up in my glass. Had a very muddy look, like clay disolved in water. Harch yeast arome with a rather foul sourness in there. Exploding palate. Could detect some darkfruits in the moutharoma along with some vague citrus hops, ended up pooring the rest though....
