Bottle at home. Gusher - lost about half. The rest poured inky black with a tight brownish head. Aroma of burnt malt and a slight musty hop funkiness. Taste has initial sweetness, then a rasping bitterness. Tastes of burnt malt, black currant jam and cherry liqueurs. Rich and dry to finish. Not bad, a little unbalanced and the gusher to start was annoying.

Bij Maakun. Zwaar gebrand, prikkelend, bruisend, alcoholisch, zoet, droog. Houtskool, leer, cassis (bret), kartonnig. Raar spul. Niet soepel. Backlog from 2015/04/24.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Dark brown color with a large, light brown head. Aroma is very intense on the yeast notes. Booze soaked dried fruits and dark sugar are dominant. Taste starts with the same notes as the aroma but in the finish you get lots of roasted coffee and bitterness. There is also some kind of dry, dusty flavor which makes me think of an old cellar. Carbonation is on the high side and body is medium-light. Overall I didn’t like it too much.

Lore (1765) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 17, 2015
perfect appearance of dark mahogany colour and huge, dense, long lasting beige head; aroma of dried plum, cherry, hints of raisin and maybe figs, chocolate notes, some herbs and alcohol; taste of dark chocolate, dried cherry and cherry brandy - like a perfect cherry brandy dessert with some herbal hoppy bitterness

Bottle. Dark brown beer with large, beige head. Good lacing. Lively carbonated. Aromas: sourness, wild notes, chocolate, dark fruits. Taste is only slightly sour, with distinct bitterness and alcoholic aftertaste.

Flaska från Etre gourmet. Som vanligt med Alvinne en skumkaskad, under allt skum en mörkt mahognybrun vätska. Riktigt fin doft, lätt laktosyrlig, lite brett, fuktigt trä, mörk torkad frukt, katrinplommon, plommon, körsbär, choklad, läder, relativt söt men välbalanserad, lite alkoholvärme. Förvånansvärt lätt kropp. Riktigt gott, funkar väldigt väl till mörk choklad.

Bottled. Incredibly lively, the foaming took a good while to settle. Rich vineous aroma, with sour hints. On the tongue, loads of brown sugar and ripe plums, which lingers on the lips. Long ripe fruit finish, with some dryness. Complex and intriguing.

Bottle. Pours a dark auburn brown with a large, beige head. Aroma is reddish sour berries, dark fruitiness, caramel, marzipan yeast, dried fruit. Fairly yummy. Unfortunately booze dominates the flavor. Ethanol is very much present. Some Belgian fruits, some red berry sourness, yeasty. Strong carbonation.

330 ml bottle during Brussels vacation. Dark brown with mocca head. Aroma has roasted notes, sweetmalts, light acidity, bretty notes. Taste is light roasted, light caramel, sour berries, alcohol and nice acidity

Shared bottle. Dark brown with very big light brown head. Cloves, lots of spices, Brett-like notes, herbal, alcohol, nori, carrots, burnt toast. Light sweet with light tartness and umami finish. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Strange stuff, almost sushi like at times.
