2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at home in London. As expected, this baby blew up with a vengeance, spewing no less than 80% of its contents into my sink. Once the dust had settled, I found a dark brown beer, lightly hazy with a dissipating white beige foam head and plenty of floating sediment. The nose has a hard, sharp sour tinge with some dark cherry notes, and also mild chocolate and alcohol. Flavor is medium sweet and quite medicinal, what with the hefty alcohol blast and somewhat syrupy sugar. Mild cocoa, some tart berries, a bit of funk. Full bodied with fine, explosive carbonation. Warm to finish with some moderate roast and sweetness, some bitter burnt wood, burnt grass, mild leather, plenty of rubbing alcohol, some dry and dark fruits. Not a very enjoyable beer, in any way.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle provided by OleR for his garden session, shared with Gr0ve, KnutAlbert, Skomakern, larsga and OleR – excellent rating conditions and great friendship. Tan-coloured head over an opaque, dark brown body. Smell of campfire and tart fruits. Taste of mild dark spices, roasted brown malts and dusty hops, as well as hints of yeasty fruitiness. Dry and sweet on the swallow. Not quite there, too sweet, perhaps (at OleRs, Stovner 25.05.2012).

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark-brown with large beige head. Aroma is very fruity, grapes, sour cherries, hops. Taste is a complex mix of sweet roasted malts, dark chocolate, some piney hops, a bit of spice, a bit of sour cherries. Overall it is actually very similar to an imperial stout. Deliciously smooth and full body. Alcohol completely hidden. Very tasty and underrated!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Hazy dark brown with huge lacing beige head. Very nice hop aroma with dark malty, slightly roasty, background. Dark malty taste; well balanced dry hop notes and light yeasty flavours make it extremely drinkable considering the abv.
