3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11/11/7/11/8/11

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Nice bright ruby red color, big rough off-white head. Smells sour. Tastes sour as well, also with some sweetness and light bitterness. Carbo and body decent.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark black-brown colored, strongly hazy appearance. Rich hopped aroma with roastiness, licorice and obvious yeast, even some sour note here with touch of unclean side. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also weird with a lot of dryness, yeast and weird handmade unclean touch here as well. Not too good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Burnt toast, sour yeast, sourdough and a light vegetal touch blend into this earthy, rather unclean aroma as the light tan, large-bubbles foam collapses from the almost black pour. In mouth, the biting carbonation enhances the acidic feel, this and the brash alcohol dominating the hops’ soft floweriness that shows up in the finish. Pretty linear and simplistic malt development. Seems vastly inferior to Podge on my palate, the Morpheus yeast feeling far dirtier and its inherent rotting fruits sourness is not very cohesive with the roast, albeit timid. Moreover, despite the active carbonation and acidity, the abundant residual sugars keep taking a lot of room and greatly reduce drinkability, while feeling too sugary yet not very chewy to make for so fun a sipper. I guess it all goes to show just how important the yeast strain can be.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, dark amber to brown colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Mildly roasted malty aroma with a present fruit-character with notes of dark and red berries, accompanied by a spicy yeasty touch. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a rather calm carbonation. Roasty malty taste, again presently fruity and traces of coffee and liquorice in the background; sweet and slightly roasty bitter finish with fruity notes and a well-masked alcoholic strength. Nice but also rather slim hybrid beer. 19.VI.11

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a dark cloudy brown color ale with a thick off-white foamy head with great retention and good lacing. Aroma consists of spicy yeast with sweet malt and light funky notes. Taste is a great mix between some funky yeast notes with a solid sweet malt backbone and light dry fruit notes with a quite powerful spicy yeast strain. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Closer to a quad then an imperials tout but very enjoyable nonetheless.
