Bottle, 33 cl, bbd 0912. Light hazy golden amber with a decent creamy off-white head. Tart fruity, bretty nose, barnyard. Medium body, sweet fruity caramel, tart light berries and ripe banana with a dry hoppy finish. Not your average take on a Tripel, but somehow intriguing.

bartlebier (1978) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2013
33cl bottles - Caution: foam explosion, how ever long you let this one sit! Very lively carbo & head, pours a cloudy greenish-yellow, aroma of grassy apple hops, nice dry taste with some saison dry acidity and triple yeasty fruitiness blending into each other. Bit problematic, but tasty and interesting.

Lubiere (10461) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Gusher. A hazed amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, smooth fruity malt with nice Brett notes, musty and nice. In mouth, a nice crisp herbal malt with loads of Brett, Orval like, dry and grassy, well made. BB Dec 2012.

laiti (5970) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2012
75 cl bottle @ home, BBE 02/2014
Aroma is stale with toffee, some lemon, earthy notes and hints of spices. Flavour is spicy with some soapy citrus, orange and earthy notes. Rather malty and stuffy for a tripel. Decent.

lusikka (6551) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2012
750 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy, murky amber orange colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of really strong sweet berries and mango kissel. Flavour of sweet malts, English toffee, sweet berries and mango kissel again. Some weak herbal notes as well. High viscosity. Alcohol comes through a bit. Finishes sweet and fruity, also slightly malty. Tripel? No way in hell.

BBE FEB 2014 - Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma of toffee, caramel malts, yeast, spices and fruits. Taste is malty, yeasty and spicy with hints of toffee and caramel. Finish is sweetish and sticky with some maltiness and toffee. Quite sweet and malty for a tripel.

yngwie (14146) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 22, 2012
Bottle, at HaandFestival 2012. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body under a finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. Belgo-sweetish aroma, quite fruity and nicely hopped, pine cones and some grass and canned-tropical fruits. The flavor is maybe a bit too fruity-sweet, reminding me of the syrup of canned tropical fruit mix, but there’s a nice resiny and lightly peppery touch too. Some bitterness, growing stronger towards the end. Full body with pleasant carbonation. Overall, a nice beer, although a bit on the sweet side, even for my sweet tooth. 120504

Svesse (6296) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2012
(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Deep golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of tropical fruit, honey, spices and marzipan. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit, marzipan, candy sugar, dried fruit and a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very nice and well balanced tripel with a solid and rounded mouthfeel.
