3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MrW (220) - Londerzeel, BELGIUM - APR 30, 2013
Sample @ ZBF 2013
Aromas of peche, grapefruit, sweet.
Hazy yellow beer with a white large head fading until it’s a little lasting head.
Bitter, loads of bitter, maybe some herbs, but overruled by bitterness. Not (yet?) my cup of tea.
Fizzy mouthfeel, dry taste. Sharp bitter finish but not bad.
Maybe these only-bitterbeers have to grow on me.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 noelM (135) - Málaga, Andalusia, SPAIN - APR 20, 2013
Me gustan mucho las cervezas de Alvinne pero esta me ha decepcionado un poco. Olía como a agua estancada, el amargor era excesivo y el sabor no era nada del otro mundo. No me la volvería a pedir.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Holmen1 (1071) - NORWAY - FEB 26, 2013
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (7494) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 25, 2013
330ml bottle (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
Classic Alvinne - gusher! Docking a point from look for that. Because of that, of course all the yeast swirled up and made it very turbid, and basically like a muddy puddle. Head was brief, no lacing. Smells earthy and yeasty. Very yeasty in the mouth - earthy again. Some nice bitter tingle in the finish. Basically a bit dull and messy. Mostly because it’s just a big glass full of yeast. Alvinne have got to work out how to bottle condition - I thought that problem had been solved, they used to be 2nd only to De Dolle when it came to gushing, but recently I’ve not had so many, I’m not pleased start seeing them again.

Muddy golden with a large fluffy beige head. Gooseberries wood, funky, spicy yeast and malts on the nose. Sweet and bitter with funky yeasty esters. Medium body. Generously carbonated.
