Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow to slightly orange beer. Firm white head. Smells somewhat hoppy, hints of exotic fruits. Very bitter and round taste which ends a little soury. Pineapple. Ends very bitter and dry, but still aromatic. A whole lot of taste for a 4.4% alcohol beer!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 77ships (2162) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 1, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2012 33 cl. bottle @ home – purchased at Beer Planet: as usual with Alvinne beers this one is a gusher but it is not as bad as with some of their other beers, pours a murky orange, light brown hued, first glass is pure head no matter how slowly you poor it, took about 15 min. for it to settle to a drinkable size, smell is grass, floral, hay & bitter fruits (melon, kiwi,…), taste is definitely a lovely bitterness upfront, very English, English hops, yeast, kiwi, melon, bitter, going to grass & floral bitterness in the finish, hay, very English, very nice, definitely one of their better beers, reminds me a bit of Thornbridge Kipling which is a beer that the brewers of Alvinne love quite a lot //// sampled draft @ the brewery from the “fermentation” tank, definitely still in the process of fermenting, thick, very yeast-heavy, still feels like it is balancing out, thinning the yeast heaviness a bit out, especially going by the finished product I tried, aftertaste is heavy bitterness that is still evolving toward the nuances of a bitter’s bitterness
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Swaroga (792) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 20, 2012
33cl bottle. Hazy orange with small but thick head. White foam. Nose : Aggressive aromas of citrus and pine (possibly Cascade hops) with wet laundry background. Sip : Low density but it is still creamy. There is this ginger bread sweetness but quickly overpowered by hops. Overall it tasts like an IPA with US hops. Well done. Refreshing stuff.

A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Tom. A beautiful looking beer. Hazy yellow gold topped with a brilliant white head that leaves plenty of lace. It’s just superbly conditioned. Adorable floral, almost soapy hoppy snout with hints of the excellent house yeast poking through. Similar flavour. Excitingly hoppy, love that yeast. Nice bitterness in the finish with a lasting fruity aftertaste. Really tasty and enjoyable. Belgium needs morelow abv stuff like this.
