(Bottled) Another Alvinne gusher. Hazy golden with a huge head. Bisquity-malty nose with a touch of caramely fudge, and some tart wild-yeastiness. Flavor is moderately bitter with herby hops, lots of yeast, some tartness and a touch of ashtray. Light to medium body, high and foamy CO2. Not as fresh and pleasant as the Freaky, with ashy bitterness lingering in the finish. 4444

33cl bottle. Hazy orange with small but thick head. White foam. Nose : Aggressive aromas of citrus and pine (possibly Cascade hops) with wet laundry background. Sip : Low density but it is still creamy. There is this ginger bread sweetness but quickly overpowered by hops. Overall it tasts like an IPA with US hops. Well done. Refreshing stuff.

Sample from bottle at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Hazy orange colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of fruity hops (tropical fruits). Distinctly hoppy flavour, fruity notes, also spruce. Fairly decent beer.

Pours a light brown with pinkish tone. Light persistent head. Aroma of citrus and northwest hops. Very hoppy taste for a Belgian. Lemon/lime flavors with a bitter finish. A bit acidic.

330ml bottle. Exploded on opening- lost about half the bottle. Murky orange with a scummy, dissipating foam. Acidic, pig’s arse, rhubarb and custard sweets aroma- very BC English. Edgy yeast and juicy hop hinting at pine and herbs (rosemary), husky malt backdrop. Lingers like nut husk. Robust malt and hops. Alvinne always take you on a trip- sometimes somewhere you don’t want to revisit, but you could never accuse them of mediocrity or blandness. Heartburn yeasty. The flavour, ultimately, is good. Won me over after an unimpressive start.

Bottle @ home. And indeed, as expected another gusher, although I didn’t lose half of my beer this time. Hazy darker blond to amber coloured beer with average carbonation and a medium but fast diminishing white head. Funky bitter infused hoppy aroma with some slight notes of veggies. Sprankling full palate. Finish is from the first instance dry bitter. Hoppy bitter with continuing dry mouthfeel. Going to an extreme IPA but without the depth of flavour and way more dry. Actually not really loving this one.
