3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Nick at the Syb Pig. Small snifters. Pours a light bodied red with virtually no head. The aroma was immediate cherries with a strong wine (almost medicinal) blast in the nose. The taste is more muted on the medicinal alcohol end of it...the cherries are slightly tart and dominant. Kind of like drinking an aged cherry red wine. Very very thin body, no carbonation, finish is red wine and tannin. Mostly dry. The aroma slightly bothered me as it was a little strong, but the flavors were nice. I was better cold than when it warmed up also.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Red and oddly light on the pour. Aromas of wine cask, cellar and red fruit. Quite winelike on the palate, with a mild sourness and a stronger sweetness from cherry fruit.

Pours red with a white head. Fruity with some tart cherriness going on also a little woodiness at edge, I cannot believe it is as strong as stated. Looks pretty, taste is somewhat so-so. Its good but it ain’t great. Fruity, tangy but not so sour (dad drank it and ge hates sours) A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy burgundy red color with a thin layer of bubbles. Nose is very cherry forward with notes of cherry pie, toasted oak and a touch of booze. Palate has lots oak influence with round vanilla, toasted wood and a hint of tannins. Along with that is nice ripe cherry flavors that provide some nice tangy balance to the heavy oak structure.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from bieresgourmet.be webshop. Pours a hazy deep red-hued orange body with a miniscule white head. Nose is raisins, wood, red wine, brown sugar and hints of herbs and grass. Taste is rum, candi sugar, wood, red wine, alcohol, bitter herbs and hints of grass and burnt sugar. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Interesting enough, but I’ve had plenty of red wine BA beers which makes better use of the barrel profile than this one.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Should be classified as a fruit beer, as this contains 25 kgs of sour cherries per 200 litres; Monbazillac barrel aged. Off-white, thin head, deep ruby red colour; nutty aroma strongly reminiscent of sour cherries, hints of cheese, sherry, bourbon, wine vinegar. Drying sourish taste, obvious sour cherries, caramelly sweetness, a bit cloying even but not in a disturbing way, woody, quite complex, dry sourish finish.
