Taste as Nuetnigenough 17 janary 2014. Fantastic!. Reddisch darkamber / brown color, little reddish beige head. Aroma: wood, bourbon oak, complex. Medium body. Taste: bit sweet, bourbon, fruits, a nice and special lovely beer.

Sample @ ZBF14. I expected this one to be more red. Looked orange red, off white head. Sourish, fruity aroma. Taste had banana, red fruit, light bitter, sweet and sour. No sign of the 10% for me. End was fruity sour and light bitter.

10oz goblet at Kaelderkold Barcelona pours a hazy bright red with some lacing white head. Nose is bright with cherry, some cough syrup, plenty of funk, band aid, wood pulp, some candy sugar, a little raspberry too. Flavor is slick and sweet, cherry candies, some raspberry, a little bit of raspberry vinaigrette. Mostly clean finish. Hides the alcohol well.

First sampled@BBF 2014, rated from ZBF-ZA sample, merci Emmanuel. Contained sours in the aroma, gooseberry/kiwifruit. tastes of older, leathery apricot, dried-frozen and thawed maybe. Dry, astringent, apricot peel palate. No abv noticeable whatsoever, Alvinne’s prime perfectly perpetrated crime: expert stuff, if a free-floating grab bag of fruity esters that can be a tad heavy on substance.

Bottle sample @ BAB’14. Acajou, col blanc fin.

#50 Alvinne beer. Sampled draft @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Reddish, hazy bright, little head. Tart & fruity nose, tart wine mixed with syrup, sweetish malty with touch cherries, fruits. Taste is a odd mix that doesn’t work for me, tastes of vinegar, glue, sweet malts & sugar that doesn’t mix with tart wine, sour berries, candy, lemon, cherries, very contradictory, never comes together for me. Lower c arb. sticky body. This mix doesn’t work in any way for me.

Draught Deep red beer with faint red foam. Intense with a smoked cherry nose. Taste matching the nose, with a kind of brandy-like addition (spoiling strictly nothing), fruity esters. Medium to well bodied, thanks to the ethanol mainly fruit-filled. One-off special, but well worth searching;.

Tap at Nuetnigenough. Wow. Amber red colour, frothy thick small bubbles head. Aroma is crazy, bourbon barrel maybe, cheesy, very strange, nutty too, and booze. Wood. Taste is bourbon again, sweet, fruity and creamy. Wild stuff. Really interesting and making me wobble a little. Further down, less cheese, booze starts biting. Aftertaste makes my tongue tingle. Great stuff.
