Prvi Sour beer koji sam probao. Na početku pa skoro pa nepitko. Do kraja sam se još i kolko tolko privikao na kiseli okus. Vrijedi probati.

Bottle@home. Huge head. Foaming out of the bottle. Roasted coffee sour flavours. Pretty lacto sourness. Bone dry finish. Fine. Not as delicate as phi.

Bottled@NUETnigenough, Brussels. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, mild roasted notes as well as some slight sour wooden notes. Flavour is sour wood, mild alcohol, big time tartness along with some toffee and earthy notes. Nice, but a bit more out of balance than the Phi.

33 cl. pours foggy chestnut with a thin film of foam. Mild aroma of molasses, red wine and a touch of vinegar. Flavors of plum, balsamic vinegar, spicy-sweet nut bread, and (once again in an Alvinne brew) a mineral water taste which I have come to assume is the Morpheus yeast. Medium body has a nice balance and a smooth medium carbonation.

Considering the 10%ABV it’s pretty watery and bland, with almost no maltiness to speak of. A tart sour taste but not much else, aside from a weird metallic flavour that overrides everything else. No complexity at all, just simply sour, which is dull and disappointing for such a rich looking wild yeast ale.

Bottle, at Haand Festival. It’s an unclear, brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. Dried fruits, some caramel and a light alcohol touch in the aroma. Some balsamic vinegar hints too. It’s dry and full-bodied, with lots of carbonation, but still at a nice level. Dried fruits, balsamic vinegar, caramel and some alcohol warmth. Lasting finish with dried fruits, caramel and a touch of balsamic vinegar. Nice. 150530

Courtesy of Jaghana. Couleur brune trouble, aucune mousse. Nez de vinaigre doux fruits rouges légèrement vin rouge. Gout vinaigre de vin, groseilles, notes maltées. Corps assez leger, mais le type de bière que j’aime et surtout on ne sent pas les 10c°, nickel!

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with huge brown head and good retention / lace work. Nose is on sour and lactic notes with red fruit touch. Aroma is on sour and cherries notes with marzipan touch, red berries, chocolate. Good complexity, has it really 10° ? Finish has licorice notes, red fruits an again some marzipan.
