Very nice sour. Pours slightly cloudy with white head that disappeared quickly. This is one dry, tangy and funky sour beer but fairly well balanced and tasty. Nice oak aroma and flavor. Would buy again if I could find.

Draught at SBWF. Hazy amber, minimal head. Aroma of hay and vinegar. Tart with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Lactic acidity with vinous tones and grass. Cidery (in a postive sense), refreshing and relaxed.

Draft on tap at Local Option (Chicago, IL). Pleasant surprise on a Tuesday. Pours a prominent amber orange hue, gentle haziness starts to settle outwith a nice darker deep glow hitting the light here. A decent sized whitish head atop stays as a carbonation driven ring, light lacing throughout and small stick around. Aromas show firm bretty wild funk, cobwebs and horseblanket meet some potent lactic sourness, a bit of yogurt, firmer oak and tannic presence, red wine meets some grapeskin, touches of lemon and sourness on the nose. Bigger oak and lactic aromas really roam free as it settles down, dried dark fruit gives some gentle flourishes from the barrel. Initial is dark and stone fruit, lactic acidity hits quickly after. Gentle carbonation, firmer oak that Bordeaux barrel starts to shine a bit more. Lemon, yogurt, firmer tart lactic acidity. Into the middle, some cobwebs and a bit of the base pokes through. More oak, fruit presence starts to evolve. Funk, cobwebs and a telltale dryness that meets. Sourness tapers off a bit more for me as hit the backend, a touch sweet in a gentle flash, quickly turning dry, more tannic, and brett driven as we finish. A more acidic front end seems to settle out, letting more oak and dryness finish this guy out. Still sour, but tapered. Some decent fruit presence and complexity, showing red grape, dried dark fruit, and subtle tree fruit sweetness. Solid stuff, especially at 6% ABV.

Soft and almost still pour, golden amber pour with a thin off white head. Nose is vinous with fruity notes and lots of acidity. Nice ester presence and a touch of lychee. Flavor is nice but a step down in complexity. Acidity up front with a touch of diacetyl showing on the finish as buttered popcorn. Soft fruity notes show as well. Light bodies and acidic with a very light carbonation.

Pours a medium amber color with a finger of gaseous eggshell foam. The nose is lemony, tart lactic and a touch of vanilla and musty oak. The palate follows with lots of tart lemony funk backed by some round malt, decent oak presence and a sour acidic finish. Pretty solid sour !

Bottle, 50 cl. Lovely, hazy deep orange with a white head. Fab sour, bretty nose. Orange zest, cellar, horse blankets. Rips the plaque of your teeth, but has some wet hay and sweet fruity notes to balance out the sharp, woody, tannic finish. Lovely, zesty sour bitch.
