Spitze! 7/13/13/14/11/13

Bottle from Wine and Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours beautiful clear copper with no head. Aroma is slightly acidic wine. Med body. Flavor is acidic, and vinous, but not "red"ly so. It has a marvelous sour/tartness, with oak, and wine, but it’s almost delicate. Very nice.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Dark oak and lactic aromas. Sweet grape and cherry upfront turning dry and lactic before the lasting marshmallow finish.

@Borefts. Very sour and tardy beer, but also with delicious notes of fruit and a soft touch. Very good.

Cloudy golden, almost no carbonation. Smells funky, barnyard and lemon. This is quite sour, pretty thick mouthfeel, raw and intense flavor, very much like a lambic. Pretty extreme, but nothing off about it.

Tap. Hazy orange color, almost no head. Aroma is acidic, lactic, funk, wooden barrel, citrus fruits, wine. Taste is medium to strong sour, dry, tart with some wine vinegar sweetness at end. Aftertaste is tart and dry. Very nice brew.

Bottle. Nice deep ruby amber color, tiny head had to be coaxed and only lasted a few seconds. Aroma of port wine, plums, prunes, grapes. Taste is softly sour summer fruit, prunes and plums again, subtle grapefruit and lemon rind. Good complexity. Resembles a really nice unblended lambic of sorts. A winner!

On tap. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Tart lemon aroma and taste with strong citrus notes and a grassy horse blanket finish. Very bright acidic and lively palate.

Bottle, 50 cl. Lovely, hazy deep orange with a white head. Fab sour, bretty nose. Orange zest, cellar, horse blankets. Rips the plaque of your teeth, but has some wet hay and sweet fruity notes to balance out the sharp, woody, tannic finish. Lovely, zesty sour bitch.

Draught at SBWF. Hazy amber, minimal head. Aroma of hay and vinegar. Tart with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Lactic acidity with vinous tones and grass. Cidery (in a postive sense), refreshing and relaxed.
