Bottle from Bierkoning. Hazy golden body with tall head. Nose of caramel and sweets, also some ginger. Quite sharp texture, with hops and caramel. Warms and gets spicier towards the finish. Nice one, as always, from Alvinne.

Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a murky orange with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Aroma is yeasty and herbal along with tropical and citrus fruit. Slightly watery flavour of sweet malt, citrus, light spices and herbs. Average bodied. Quite average.

Bottle. It pours a diminishing off-white head over a hazy, orange-golden body. Slightly herbal on the nose, some citrus and sweetness, mostly fruityness. The flavor is pretty much the same, citrusy, fruity and with malty sweetness. Fine bitterness in the finish. Medium body. A good beer that doesn’t impress, but it’s easy to drink, too easy maybe considering the ABV. 090828

From bottle at Brasserie Erasmus. Sweet medium malt aroma with some honey and caramel. Light neutral fruit bouquet with some mild hops character. Some yeast notes, too. Overall, a pleasant tripel aroma. Medium dark orange hazy with thin foamy lacing off-white head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Efferevescent. Starts and stays pretty sweet. Nice malt character with some caramel and honey. Light yeast chalky notes and a bit of bitterness. Mild alcoholic taste, too. Finishes with light sweet notes and a bit of astringency. Nice tripel

Shared by HogTownHarry with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Toffee coloured orange with teeny tiny flecks and a whispy white head. Aroma: Peppery, yeast, lemons, a good deal of sweetness and a little alcohol. Flavour: Bitter lemon, alcohol, salty and cloying, super long bitter finish. Not a fan at all.

Bottle ( 330ml ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with glouglouburp. Cloudy orange, average off-white creamy head; floaties. Aroma of tangerine, yeast, alcohol and floral bitterness. Taste - more orange, a bit sweeter, man this is floral; not as much alcohol. Slick, slightly acidic mouthfeel, a dry sour aftertaste. Decent.

In short: A weird, overly yeasty strong Belgian golden ale with too much overripe rotting fruits. Really off.
How: Bottle 330ml, consumed fresh soon after receiving it through private importations
The look: Cloudy dirty orange body with many small particles. Small white head
In long: Nose of overripe tropical fruits. Taste of overripe peaches, red and green apples and a little vanilla ice-cream, ripe pineapples. Together the malts & yeast also have a wet-cereals feeling, like basic breakfast cereals that got too much humidity and got all mushy. That gives the beer a very chewy/doughy sensation. Spicy herbal hops provide a little dryness and a much welcomed distraction. I had two bottles of this thing. I thought there was something wrong with the first bottle. Waited a few months and drank the other bottle. Same mess. As messy as a soup sandwich.
