UPDATED: MAR 17, 2007 (Bottled) Opaque orange color with a small, lacy head. Crisp, spicy, orangey, alcoholic aroma. Thick-malty, sweetish, very fruity flavor with some alcohol and acidity. Long, spicy, sticky-tickling-sweet aftertaste. Medium to full-bodied, slightly barley-wineous palate with soft carbonation. A brew with great personality - and enough balance to be enjoyable. A real bang for the buck, with no ingredients spared! Seems to vary in quality, as the second encounter was quite alcoholic and not nearly as fruity.

Cloudy deep blond color; creamy head. The aroma is spicy, with some orange peel. Full body, malty, with spices and orange peels, hiding very well the alcohol, sweet and bitter. Very good Belgian Ale.

Bottled. Cloudy amber, small head. Fruity, estery banana aroma. Sweet and richly malty. Intriguing mix of fruit salad and malt. Alvinnes house character is here married with a body that adds a dimension to the beer. Complex and really good!

A Triple that’s not as pale as usual and has a bronze tan. Aroma is pretty funky and a bit earthy and rustic , with a bit of a Saison/Bier ’ de garde character. Fruity and spicy smellz. Earth and subtle barnyard and lotta malt evident. Flavaz open malty rich , leading to dry mustiness and a complex fruit (green apple.peach) type of esters kick ..and pretty tart , spicy cloying finish . a throwback to the old rusticity of things. . This is cool. maybe my bottle is infected or maybe its just a very wacky beer not brewed to style. Vibrant , funky and very drinkable .

Very good basic Tripel. Pours a little hazy with a lot of carbonation. The line between beer and head is very squigly, which I don’t like that much. Overall a very good beer which I will most likely drink again!

330 ml bottle (8,7% abv). A cloudy dark orange beer. Fizzy carbonation. Quickly disappearing thin white head. Aroma of moderately sweet malts, sweet citrus, apricot, melon and yeast. Taste is very inviting; Fruity-sweet and fresh, light malty with notes of bubblegum. Spritzy and nice bubble-ish mouthfeel. Healthy body. Lasting light bitter and acidic finish. Yum.

Bottle. Vintage 2003. Delirium cafe, Brussel. Lovely soft fruity(peach, pineapple) and malty nose. Tastes very fruity(citrussy), straw, spicy(brewed with vanilla) and a bit grainy(greenery). Finishes sourrish, sweet and fruity. Lovely full bodied and lightly carbonated. Just a great tripel!

Alcohol already in the nose with some banana and wheat - like a banana cream pie. Deep gold color with a foamy sticky head. Honey malt with a hint of syrup. Orange and corriander too. Some sugar in the body, but countered by a dainty drying pepper. Leaves a sweet coating on the lips. Silky texture and a very full body. Rich for a triple. I quite liked this one.
