24.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ BBGTC tasting:
Tiny fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet winy, red berries, oak, caramel malts, raisins, prune compote, redwine, sugar, grass. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, sorrel, raw rhubarb, berry skin, oak, grass, hay, bark, redwine, raw rhubarb. Longlasting mild bitterness, very dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a dark bronze body with a miniscule, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is dark fruits, raisins, prunes, apricot, sour vinous tones, hints of red berries, balsamic and red wine. Taste is sour red fruits, prunes, cherries, leather, raisins, mild balsamic, citric acid and hints of wood, red wine and oaky tannins. Medium body, soft yet prickly carbonation. Extremely complex, but in this case I think the complexity (of which I am usually a big fan) kinda kills the beer in a way; it gets too much in too little space and the whole thing feels more like a wine with a hint of beer. Decent, but not amazing.

Pours a brownish with hints of copper, fully diminishing head, leaving no trace of carbonation. Aroma is oaky with notes of apricots and a faint tartness. Taste is moderate sour with vinous notes of oak, cherries and a faint bitter, leathery thing. Co2 is close to absent and it has a slick mouthfeel. Dry

Bottle enjoyed at home. Virtually no head. Clear ruby brown body. Modest aroma of sour cherries, grape skin and red wine. Clean-smelling funky with hint of oak, balsmico and malt drops. Slick the mouth, almost flat. Medium full. Taste has a pleasant mild sourness. More lactic than acetic. Red wine vinous. Light tart cherries/red berries. Subtle oak notes, light earthy, hint of tannins. Tasty, and pretty much a palate-cleanser.

Bottle. A clear, light brown beer topped by a minimal sized off-white hea. The aroma has lots of wood, some chicken farm, rhubarb, berries, grapes and is in general rather vinous. The flavor is much more subdued than the aroma, slighlty vinegar-ish, with some sweetness, and the same rhubarb, berries and wood found in the aroma. Full body, semi-dry on the palate. Well, I like the vinous part of this beer, but overall it’s a bit messy and far from fantastic. 130607
