Tasted on 11/14/13 from a capped, squat 330mL bottle purchased at Woodland Wine Merchant. Pours very dark brown with a very thick, slow building beige head that slowly recedes to no lace whatsoever. The nose is sweetish caramel malt with plenty of brown sugar, red wine vinegar, a touch of bread, some funk, and lemon acidity. The flavor is more aggressively sour with the lemon and red wine vinegar, moving to a more roasted, dark caramel and bread than on the nose. The body is fairly light with some tannic structure, lively, stinging carbonation, and a long tart, sour, and lightly toasted finish.

Black coloured beer with small off-white head and no carbonation visible. Malty red wine hinted aroma. Sour full sparkling palate. Finish is very sour and dry. A bit too sour.

Bottle. Pours deep brownish black with a medium, staying, frothy, beige head. Aroma has caramel, toffee, oak, raspberry, mild tartness. Medium, prickly carbonation, fine dry and a bit light mouthfeel. Flavour has soft tartness, oak, subtle red fruits. Apple zest. A bit thin but otherwise fine.

A true oud bruin right here, no joke. Muddy brownish pour with bits of sediment. Slightly nutty and dried grape, yet funked nose. Hints of dirt, lactic acid, brett, vinegar, and nuts on the palate, all blended quite well. You can really taste the no hop presence. Great brew!!

Mahogany color, tan head that disappears quickly. Sour malty raisin nose. Starts out with a little sourness which opens up to a bigger sour tart acidic finish. Tastes of cherries and moldy oak (in a good way). It’s the third time I’ve got this beer and I love it, very solid ould bruin.

I liked it better than the Morpheus itself. Tastes like some old, medieval beer. Almost unhopped, but still rather tasty.

330ml capped bottle gushed upon opening. Deep reddish copper color with tan head.
Smells kinda sharp and acetic from the bottle, but out of the glass its much more rounded. More of a lactic sourness for sure. Ripe red berries, yogurt and hints of balsamic vinegar in both the nose and flavor. Intensely sour, but deliciously full fruitiness rounds it out. Would definitely buy again, especially considering the modest price.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown, hazy, with nice tan head, vanishing, poor lacing. Crispy texture, too high carbonation, light body. Taste is more into the sweet side, sour, berries, some caramel. Sweet aftertaste.
