3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thewolf (8621) - Kolding, - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Alvinne Beershop.
Pours muddy amber with a big, frothy, off-white head. Fine duration. Aroma is light peachy, floral, light pine, good caramel base, some slight bretty notes. Highish carbonation, dry mouthfeel, parhaps a bit thin. Flavour is elegantly leathery bretty, some resin and pine. Mild crispy malts. Very dry and fairly bitter floral finish. Different IPA but quite delicious nonetheless.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TBone (9405) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 10, 2012
Bottled 750ml (Sept 2012, lot 503)
Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! I am not a big fan of Morpheus yeast: bottles are always gushers; from big bottle you always loose half because it is so lively. Foam just continues coming out of bottle, even after you have poured 2/3 of beer. Murky amber color, big off-white head. Strong sour bretta aroma with fruity notes, also light barnyardish notes. Medium-bodied, foamy mouthfeel. Bretta/Morpheus dominates also the flavor, citrus, horseblanket, some fruityness. Nice sourness but not very exiciting. This is listed as "IPA" now here, but this is of course sour ale.

7/8/11/9/12/9

Bottle. Beer comes out the bottle on opening by force. Amber, cloudy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, fruity, some citrus hoppyness and caramel. Body is average, caramel malty and sweetish flavor, yeasty, fruity and flowery, some citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty, some sweetness. Very malty IPA, not enough bitterness considering the maltiness.
