50cl Bottle from De Molen, BB 07/10. Slightly hazy reddish brown colour, off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, rye, some port notes. Flavour is caramel, light malty, port, rye, yeast, sweet sticky finish, hint of glue. Light to medium bodied. No real weizen characteristics anymore.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (1061) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 28, 2011
Creamy small head yellow to tan head, reddish brown body. Champagne notes, mango, cake and milky. Interesting and original taste. Taste disappoints. Nice light sweetness but only one flavour through the profile. Also a bit thin. Still very enjoyable. Older bottle. (50cl bottle)
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Martinus (866) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2011
Quite old bottle. BB 07-10 Dark amber colour, small beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, wheat, slight smoke, surprisingly light on banana for a dunkelweizen. Flavour quite sweet, caramel, slight fruity notes. Bit thin body, quite short finsh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PotjeBier (523) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 23, 2011
Bottled, BBD 07/10. Red brown color, off white head. Aroma: red fruit, brown sugar, sticky toffee. Flavor: lightly sweet, fruity, somewhat yeasty. Thin on the palate. No aftertaste to speak of. Is this really a dunkelweizen?
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Benzai (2684) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle at home, shared with DutchDrebus. Don’t really like dunkelweizen, but this could very well be one of the highest dunkelweizen I’ve rated. So in short: (a little) better than other dunkelweizen, but still not really pleasing to me.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 laiti (1667) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 2, 2011
50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. #286: BBE 07.2012.
Rather stale aroma with lot of metal and some blueberries. Flavour is rather intense with sourish and unpleasantly bitter blueberries and salty liquorice. Weird stuff and rather far from dunkelweisse, also did not form a foam like one. I would call this a fruit beer.

Clear very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, caramel, dried fruit and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and bitter finish. 010711

Shared bottle with benzai at his home. This one was a bit dissapointing for me. There’s quite a lot to taste in there, but this time that wasn’t a good thing.
