English: Here on Amager island we are as blessed with Amager Fælled (Amager Common), a beautiful piece of nature with fantastic animal and bird life. Actually, there is no other place in Europe where there are such large open spaces near such a big city, now a subway even takes you almost directly into the bird’s song. Amager Common has a history as both a place of execution and for the testing of military weapons, but nowadays you hardly meet anything more controversial than joggers, birdwatchers and little children in shorts.
When you visit this rustic paradise, do it like this golden ale from Amager Brewery by bicycle or subway tunnel. With its clean malt sweetness and its gentle and floral hop tones it is the beer created to quench the thirst out here in Amager’s free and beautiful scenery.

Hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Aroma has citrus, yeast and elderflower (hyldeblomst). Quite light body. Flavor has citrusy hoppyness, exotic sweetish fruits and some spicey notes. Light citrusy lingering hoppyness in the aftertaste. Refreshing session drink.

On tap at Lompa, Oslo. A bit herbal, brewed with honey but not very sweet. Q bit too mellow, some dustiness but no bitter hops.

Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - AUG 4, 2010
Tap at Olympen. Slightly hazy light straw yellow with pearly bubbles and a thin white head. The aroma is very sweet, very floral, perfumy, with nectar and honey. The flavour lets it down a bit, a bit lacking. The hops feel hard and more tart than bitter somehow, and the sweetness is a bit cloying and numb, in lack of a better word. It’s too light bodied, but the carbonation is nice and smooth. If it had tasted as good as it smelled, it would have been great. Again, another herb brew that doesn’t quite make it.

MPA (866) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle. Hazy golden with off white head. Aroma of elderflower, malt, citrus and honey. Flavour is sweet with notes of malt, fruit and a good fresh bitterness. Great for the summer and even greater when savoured on the island of Amager at Kalvebod Fælled.

sayravai (4691) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 26, 2010
(Bottled, sampled 2010-01-21) Hazy, greenish pale golden with a small, firm, lacy head. Citrusy-flowery nose with some honey. Sweetish, but balanced flavor with honey, citrus and floweriness, along with saisony, fruity yeastiness. Almost medium body, slightly fizzy CO2, refreshing palate. Quite nice and clean brew with a Belgian touch. Slightly too sweet to be a session brew, but after sauna this could work.

Ungstrup (30991) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2010
Bottled. A hazy light yellow beer with a bubbly white head. The aroma has notes of straw, citrus, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hay, citrus, and a bit of malt, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Refreshing.

JorisPPattyn (8688) - Ursel, BELGIUM - JUN 13, 2010
Small off-white head over well-carbonated deep-golden beer. Citrussy aroma as from lemonbalm, spiced and bit oppressive other grains’ nose. Taste betrays honey; breakfast cereals with honey, spices and flowery. But yet a bit dull-oppressive flavour. Medium bodied, grist slickness, despite the honey mineral water quality. Making a good honeybeer is difficult - we lament the late Peissant - making heatherbeer no doubt to, but the Williams Bros do so. Both can’t be easy then - so this is a good try.

abemorsten (3295) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - MAY 27, 2010
Clear golden with white rim and fair lacing. Mild friuty and sweet aroma. Grainy sweet, bitter and alcoholic. Watery mouth feel, light to medium body. Sampler@Ølfestival København 2010.
