COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours dark red with a yellowish, long lasting head. Aroma has caramel malts, but is overall surprisingly weak. Some bourbon, hops, vanilla and sweet, dried fruits. Taste has some hoppy bitterness, lots of sweet caramel, bourbon, plums, vanilla, dried dates. Pretty boozy, and has much more to offer in taste than aroma. Medium-full body and med-high carbonation.

Pours Deep brown with a light brown head. Aroma of butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, alcoholic heat, ripe plums and bourbon notes. Taste has those same sweet notes of caramel, vanilla and plums along with the sweeter bourbon notes and some booze overall. High carb for a beer like this and maybe a tad on the boozy side for me. Still enjoyable!

Nice deep dark amber color with a thick tan head. Nice lacing. Complex rich aroma. Oak, fruity, toffee the most dominant. Lighter body than expected. Balanced sweetness and a soft carbonation. This is a type of ale that grows in your mouth. Start a little bit to cold and let it develop with the temperature. Smooth caramel, toffee, vanilla, fruity and oak are the most dominant flavor. Really balanced and tasty.

Bottle, deep dark mahogany with a fine lasting head, big barrely nose, burnt treacle, huge dry spicy palate with hints of wintergreen, fascinating but too extreme and unbalanced.

Bottle at home. Hazy chestnut colour with a thick and lasting off-white head. The aroma is pretty intense with bourbon notes of oak, coconut and vanilla, along with dried fruit, bread and biscuit. Sweetish flavour with fruit, oak, malt, and quite a bit of alcohol.
