COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We have striven and struggled, we have cursed and sworn and we have snarled and yelled. But dammit did we also have a good time since we boiled up the first brew at Amager Bryghus one early morning back in April 2007. A lot of beer has been through our tanks since then to now reach Batch 500. With this East Coast IPA we simply believe to have cracked the code and found the cash cow that will make us millionaires when we sell out to the multinationals. Batch 500 is a beer so pleasantly balancing between the lightly sweet malt and fruitiness and a rather complex hop profile that we’re sure that even the brewer’s non beerdrinking wife will have to surrender. THAT will be the ultimate test… Enjoy!

(Draught at Man In the Moon, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, blood oranges, grapefruit, caramel and black-currant. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, blood orange, grapefruit, caramel, crisp-bread and a generous resinous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Excellent IPA with a generous hop character and a solid malt foundation. Very nice.

Pours clear amber with a small but tight white head. Aroma is intense tropical fruit, citrus and flowers. The taste starts out with zesty lemon, followed by intense hop bitterness and pine resin, then passionfruit, melon and orange. Medium palate with a lingering spicy aftertaste. Quite fantastic really.

Pours golden orange with a good orange head. Nose is heavy evergreen, grapefruit, peaches, some grass and caramel. The taste medium sweet and medium heavy bitter. The balance is good. The body is medium, sticky resin texture and a long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with a large white head that settles to an inch. Fruity aroma with kumquats, grapefruit, peach, mango, a little pine and lime leaf. Peachy sweetness and a little bread under strong bitterness with quite sharp grapefruit, lime and some pepper at the end. Bitterness is slightly excessive for my tastes. Very good.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a tulip. Hazy, orange-brown colour with a dense, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grapefruit, pines and sweet fruits. Caramel malts. Pleasent aroma. Taste is bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Finishes long lasting bitter with fruits - bitter and sweet. Well made IPA.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with lots of sediment and a large off-white head, which lasts very well and leaves good lacing. The aroma has strong tropical fruit hop notes, especially melon, as well as some pine and light caramel malt. Potent melon and pineapple hops up front lead into a touch of pine, with some faint caramel malt in the mid-palate, although it is all but overcome by melon and pine hops. A charry burnt toast flavour appears leading into the finish, which has plenty of lemon peel and tropical hops, and leaves a strong lemon peel aftertaste. This is a razor-sharp, no holds barred style of IPA, with an interesting range of hops flavours. Nice stuff.

500 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden body with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is strong citric, pine and tropical fruit with some caramel. Flavour is sweet malt, some caramel and lots of American hops like citric fruit and pine. Quite bitter, but very pleasant. Medium body and bitter aftertaste. Another fine IPA from Amager.
