English: We have striven and struggled, we have cursed and sworn and we have snarled and yelled. But dammit did we also have a good time since we boiled up the first brew at Amager Bryghus one early morning back in April 2007. A lot of beer has been through our tanks since then to now reach Batch 500. With this East Coast IPA we simply believe to have cracked the code and found the cash cow that will make us millionaires when we sell out to the multinationals. Batch 500 is a beer so pleasantly balancing between the lightly sweet malt and fruitiness and a rather complex hop profile that we’re sure that even the brewer’s non beerdrinking wife will have to surrender. THAT will be the ultimate test… Enjoy!

On tap @Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. Grassy, some sweet and fruity aromas. Pours golden to amber, a bit hazy, with nice white head, persistent, some lacing. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture.Taste is mild bitter, herbal, some citrus, fruity, some hints of sweet. Dry aftertaste.

From a 500ml bottle on 21/5/2013. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big, fluffy, lasting white head. Has a lovely aroma featuring honey, and big floral and fruity notes (particularly passionfruit). The flavour features sweet citrus and stone fruits, more honey and some light caramel malt. But its the hops which ultimately hold sway, with an intense grapefruity, resiny bitterness lingering in the mouth long after its gone down the hatch. It’s quite meaty for a standard IPA and nicely carbed. A terrific, beautifully balanced IPA.

$25 a bottle at Beer and Breakfast in Daylesford. Rich hoppy beer. Modern IPA in style but avoids the harshness of many in the style. Quite dense for a sub 7% beer and sure punches above its weight in this respect.

Bottle, pours cloudy gold with pine, hopsack and tropical fruit on the nose. Big hoppy burst on the palate, with a very dry lightly fruity bitterness, some golden biscuit malt in the background though the hops dominate.

Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, floral hops and gooseberries. Flavour of caramel malts, floral hops, grapefruit, some gooseberries, grains and juicy fruitiness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a lingering bitter finish. Nicely hopped. Great.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Golden colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, some herbal notes as well. Flavour is fruity, herbal, grassy and some mild malts and bready notes. A bit too strong hops to be pleasant.

Really fresh IPA tasted on draft. Nice aroma and appearance but is too bitter for me.
