Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 80+ IBU

English: With this our special brew, Batch One, we dared to experiment with our devotion to a solid malt profile combined with delicate American aroma hops. Batch One is an American Strong Ale characterized by its vast full body and generous amounts of hops. In the glass the beer has a reddish brown colour with a coppery glow, while the beige coloured head leaves a nice lacing in the glass. In this brew we have chosen to only use the noble Simcoe hop, both for boiling and the following dry hopping. The hops give the beer its fresh citrus like character and leaves a solid bitterness although it is balanced by sweet caramel malt. Amager Batch One is a potent beer which is not afraid to flex its muscles in both the alcohol and in its bitterness.
Bitterness: 80+ IBU

courtesy of Per Forsgren - pours a hazy red-amber colour under a little beige foam; aroma of orange blossom with notes of caramel and citrus; full-bodied, initial sweetness is quickly followed by a solid bitterness; some astringence; quite dry and long hoppy and herbal finish with notes of mint - deeply rich and very good

Bottled @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aroma has grapefrui, carame and malts. Didn’t make notes of appearance. Taste is bitter, bit malty sweet and has pine and grapefruits. Bitter finish. Good one.
