COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bitterhed: 80+ IBU

English: With this special brew, Batch One, we dared to experiment with combining our usual devotion to a solid malt profile with the addition of American aroma hops. Batch One is an American-inspired Ale characterized by its vast, full body and generous use of hops. In the glass, it has a reddish-brown colour with a coppery glow, and a beige-coloured head leaves a nice lacing behind. For this brew we have chosen to only use the noble Simcoe hop, both for boiling and the following dry-hopping. The hops give the beer its fresh citrus-like character and impart a solid bitterness to balance the sweet caramel malt.
Bitterness: 80+ IBU

50 cL bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown with light brown head. Aroma is sweet caramel malty with dominanting simcoe hops. Flavour is strong and flowery hops followed by the malt in a soft blend with alcohol. A good strong bitterness kicks in at the finish. Powerful, elegant balanced and a simple beer. Alcohol is slightly too dominant for my taste.

A hazy amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with strong spicy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with storng notes of hops, giving it notes of spices, grapefruit, and grass, while the alcohol is more felt than tasted - felt in the mouth and on the tongue.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish amber colour with mediumsized creamy white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is very fruity and flowery hops along with some chocolate cookies as well as some mild roasted notes. Flavour is very much the same in a very nice and harmonic balance. Hides the alcohol very well.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Cloudy dark amber, minimal head. Lychee-like hop aroma. Sweet and full bodied, very soft with perfumy sweaty lychee-like hops on top. The powerful bitterness does not stick out too much. A well made very American style barley wine.

Nice aroma, malt, hop and parmesan, sweat. Good body strength, good caramel flavor, enough sweetness, powerful hopping, with resins and some sweetness. Very good.

2008-05-16, bottle at Ølfestival 2008, Århus, 7-4-8-5-15=39
Cloudy amber color. Strange aroma, with caramel, hop and paint thinner. Good body strength, strong sweet caramel flavor, warming alcohol, strong hopping of good quality, with some interesting resins; but as another beer from Amager tonight, it has a very light starting infection...

2008-04-06, draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen, 8-5-8-5-16=42
Hazy amber color. It has a deep fruity aroma, with piney resins. There is a good body, with caramel flavor, not much sweetness, and a very powerful citrusy and resiny hopping. Excellent
