COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours mahogany tinged black into a shaker. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Dark chocolate and dank resin aromas. Thick with dark chocolate upfront turning thin with sweet resin and espresso in the lasting finish.

Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - pours black with a puffy tan head. The aroma and taste is a great balance of roasted malts and a medley of topical and citrus fruity notes, slight grassy, some caramel, grapefruit. Nice mouthfeel and great finish. Lovely bipa this.

Bottle @ home 20140924. Pours black with a a large frothy tan head. Aroma of hop resin, grass, pine and a hint of coffee. Taste is extremely hop forward, with lots of resins, pine, grass and grapefruit, which is complemented by subtle notes of caramel and freshly ground coffee. Not sure if I would have spotted the coffee with my eyes closed.

Pitch black with a three finger high, beige, head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Nose: Roasted malt, milk, sweet licorice, dark chocolate, citrus hops, very hoppy and fruity! Taste: Grapefruit, coffee, roasted malt as in the nose, pine, bitter lemon peel and more malt. Mouth: Medium body. A little thin but then black IPA tends to be that way. Overall: A really good black IPA but not all the way up with the stars!

Black color with a huge beige head. Nice lacing. Coffee, mild chocolate, roasted and mild grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fine body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Good balanced. Maybee a bit to much carbonation. Coffee dominated flavor. Also roasted, some chocolate, mild licorice and mild grapefruit hoppy. Missed some tropical fruity notes, and could have been more hoppy flavor also. A nice and tasty ale. But hoped for more BIPAish stuff.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl bottle, poured in to a Tulip. Batch # 866. Pitch black with a dense, tanned head. Roasted aroma with liqourice, caramel malts, citrus, chocolate and grapefruit. Taste is bitter. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Long lasting bitter and roasted finish with grapefruits and citrus. Excellent B-IPA, very enjoyable.
