COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled courtesy of the Amager brewers and Papsoe, huge, HUGE thanks! Poured a pitch black body with a dark tan head that went awaat a medium pace. Superbly hopiness in the nose, big passionfruit balanced by some malt. Refreshing, damn refreshing tropical hoppy taste, mingling with some roastiness, truly splendidly put together. Now this is what I imagined the style to be all about and I love it.

500 ml bottle. Rated @ 22.4.2010.
Pours a beautiful black colour with a espresso-like brown head which lasts nicely. Strong aroma of hops, slight roastiness and grass notes. The taste is hop-driven with roasted malts, coffee, fruits, grass and wood. Medium/full bodied, oily texture and rough carbonation. Dry finish. Decent Black IPA.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: Lots of floral/perfumy hops, citrus, pine, blackcurrant, light roast/smoke. Flavor: hoppy & bitter, perfumy, citrus, pine, blackcurrant tea, menthol, grass, wood, roasted malt, faint smoke/barnyard. Too bitter for me personally.

great aroma with a lot of american hops up front, spruce, grapefruit, orange and christmas spices. the taste is like eating fresh spruce shoots with resinous hoppy bitterness and some slightly burned notes. Good beer.

Dark brown, almost black color with a fairly nice head. Aroma of wet wood, rubber, some leather and a bunch of hop flavours. Taste is some tar and coffe, dark bread, rubber and wood. Plus you have a lot of hoppy flavours to give it balance. Dry finish. Didn´t enjoy the first couple of sips at all but it grew on me while tasting. Still not a big fan of Black IPA’s thought.
