4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The Red Nitro wasn’t that good so i didn’t have high hopes for this one. It actually was delicious.
Opague black colour. Smells very hoppy but roasty malty at the same time. This beer combines the best of IPAs and Stouts and i love it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12/11/7/11/-/11

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #541, bottle from Vinspecialisten Islands Brygge
A dark brown beer with a nice beige head. Magnificent aroma of chocolate, coffee, pine, citrus, oranges, tobacco, and raspberries - couldn’t be better. Flavors are chocolate, coffee, bitterness, citrus / lime and raspberries - it contains it all, and gives you the best from both the light and dark sides of the world of beer. BItterness might seem a bit overwhelming compared to the other elements in the flavor, though. Only a light sweetness. The finish is rather bitter and has a small touch of alcohol burn. Medium thick palate, that very well could have been creamier. A very fine brew that I’m happy to have got a specimen of before it’s too late.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Batch 283 - The color is somewhere between the very dark brown and black. The head is light brown and pretty frothy. The nose is dominated by strong hop aromas of pine and resin. Pine and resin is echoed in the taste with something that almost reminds me of black tea (slightly sweetened English breakfast tea) and it all ends in a long bitter but dry and harmonious finale. Very refreshing. One more, please!

from erzbierschof.ch - pours a very dark beer with a persistent dark beige foam; correct lacing; aroma of chocolate and vanilla; full-bodied and with some sweetness, a solid bitterness and a long chocolatey aftertaste with notes of coffee, hops and licorice

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle) Very dark brown colour, almost black with ruby hints through light. Lasting beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Roasted, malty nose with coffee, dark chocolate, pine needles and fresh resinous hops. Roasted, malty taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, grapefruit and pine needles. Generous resiny bitterness in well roasted finish. More than medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Very tasty and very nice, and all in lovely balance. Impressive beer!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2011 This one is very good. Best of the night. Pours a very deep brown, almost no light coming through. A small light tanned head is produced with some average lacing. Aroma is full of coffee and slight hops. Coffee is very prominant in flavour. Hops presence is slightly under par with some sweet fruits in the background. Very good, easy drinking brew. Not overly complex but a great beer none the less
