COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Granted, it was damn ’ difficult, but our customers asked for such a beer, we are actually quite proud of the fact that we succeeded. What we have succeeded with is to produce a beer that is not already from the first sip an attack on your tastebuds with a screeching hop bitterness and oceans of alcohol. Bryggen’s Blonde is probably best described as a beer with a gentle appearance that appeals to the thoughtful segment, rather than the tanned, hardened beer enthusiasts. In the glass it appears a warm golden beer both creamy and delicious. The scent is rich in floral tones and a slight hint of yeast reveals the Belgian inspiration.
With Bryggens Blond we would like to thank those of our customers who reminded us that a good beer does not always have to be a wild and violent experience.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, sweet orange zest and yeast

Lubiere (10294) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 16, 2013
A golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a grassy malt aroma with vinous notes, honey, oxidized. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with light maderization.

Bottle shared by Lubiere, cool, tulip. Deep orange amber with lots of floaties and no head. Lots of oxidized fruits, very old and tired. Medium body, flaccid. Oxidized fruit, old and tired; dry, limited bitterness, tired fruit finish. Probably nice fresh.

Bottle at NS tasting. Blond hazy pour, white head. Aroma is yeasty, malty, not so interesting I’m afraid. Flavour is also quite dusty, yeasty and grainy. It drinks quite smooth tough, but overall a quite boring brew. Well made.. but boring..

Bottle, shared by deanso in the train on the trip back from the monthly 2nd Tuesday tasting @ De Molen, hosted by dEnk. We can’t decide on this brew being murky, cloudy or hazy. Aroma is very grainy, wort and some slightly spicy hops. Flavor is quite sweet, watery and grainy. Quite boring brew

0.5l bottle. This is a light blurry golden one packed with microscopic particles floating about and a small, bubbly and light side clinching off-white top. Smells light floral with traces of caramel and pale malts. A bit on the sweet side. It’s average on the carbonation level with a light oily mouthfeel. More floral on the flavor, light thin sweet caramel-graininess and flower water. Then there is a decent grassy bitterness that’s lasting before I get tones of wet cardboard. A bit almost metallic in the aftertaste. Not a favorite, but it’s definitely drinkable. 28.11.2012

ClubGonzo (4175) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a dark golden body with a small white head. Nose is grass, heather, herbs and wet leaves with hints of baker’s yeast and grains. Taste is floral honey tones, grains, wheat tones, citric peel and hints of herbs and grass. Medium body and carbonation. Refreshing enough, but nothing spectacular. A nice session ale, on the other hand, is never wrong.

50 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours amber with a small long lasing white head. Aroma of orange, citrus and hops. Quite thin but with a good balance of bitterness and sweetness. Ok beer on a hot day.

Pours orangey golden with a little off white head. Diffuse malty aroma. But the taste is all fresh malt, with some good cereal and biscuit notes, with some floral overtones and maybe a bit of herbaceousness from the hops. I kind of agree with the brewery’s description- this is not an extreme beer by any means, just good raw ingredients, nice and drinkable. I like this style - it makes a nice break from hopmonsters.
