Bottle: Thanks Papsø: Batch 551: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized creamy foamy head on top of a hazy beautiful orange colored beer. Aromas of malt sweets, some red fruit, hint of brown sugars, hint of chalk, hint of wood, some yeast and a sweet herbal toast. Flavours are pretty light but crisp and very easy drinkable: malts, bitters, leaves, nuts, fruit, malty sweets, some herbs, some fruit, yeast, light woody and some honey and light sweet ish tones. Aftertaste is a mix of malts, herbs, some malty sweets/fruit sweets/honey sweet but far from sweet, more bitter and a light yeasty tone. Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a creamy texture. Hmmm just a little bit of honey and a nice crispy malty pilsener well mixed...

Bottle batch 551 bbf 01-2014 courtesy of Papsø. Light hazelnut brown with a medium sized creamy off white head. Good retention and lace, looks real nice. Herbal hoppy, flowery, honey, light toasted malt and caramel notes. Light/medium body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. A bit sticky sweet with light bitterness. Well made, but not that interesting.
