COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Our pale ale is inspired by the style "American Pale Ale ", which is characterized by a good use of bittering and aroma hops. We have been generous in our useage of both the hop types Cascade and Centennial , as both have been involved in the boil and in the subsequent dry-hopping . The two varieties of dry hops give a fruity freshness in both aroma and taste. The taste is of both grapefruit and peach - and a tiny hint of pine needles.
Christianshavn Pale Ale is a feiry golden red in the glass with a dense, creamy and long lasting head, leaving a discreet blonde halo on the inside of the glass as it slowly settles . The beer has a medium density with a slightly sweet malt character , where a touch of caramel can be felt. The beer is rounded off with a mild and dry bitterness that titillates the taste buds and creates balance and harmony.
Christianshavn Pale Ale is a light alcohol beer so can - and should - be enjoyed in abundance.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

On tap at Ørsted Ølbar 8/29/09: Pours a transparent copper orange with a creamy, well-lacing white head. Has a soft lightly sweet toasty caramel malty nose with a fresh citrusy hoppy presence. Starts with a mild caramely malty sweetness and fresh grapefruity hoppiness with a fairly full body and crisp bittersweet finish. A pretty smooth and enjoyable APA.

Bottle. Clear deep gold/light amber liquid with medium to big off-white head. The aroma is crisp and fruity with notes of tangerines, grapefruit, citrus, biscuits, flowery fresh hops and some tropical fruit. Taste is dry and medium bitter with a nice malt base and some hoppy notes as well. Medium bodied with a bit high carbonation. Very refreshing and well balanced, but a bit metallic bitterness.

A good pale ale, nothing overly special, the amager beers seem to be missing something.

Pours a cloudy copper with a big white head (lots of carbo) and a nice sweet grapefruitey aroma. the flavour slightly back the aroma up although this bottle seems highly carbonated and its hard to distinguish flavour.
