COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Our pale ale is inspired by the style "American Pale Ale ", which is characterized by a good use of bittering and aroma hops. We have been generous in our useage of both the hop types Cascade and Centennial , as both have been involved in the boil and in the subsequent dry-hopping . The two varieties of dry hops give a fruity freshness in both aroma and taste. The taste is of both grapefruit and peach - and a tiny hint of pine needles.
Christianshavn Pale Ale is a feiry golden red in the glass with a dense, creamy and long lasting head, leaving a discreet blonde halo on the inside of the glass as it slowly settles . The beer has a medium density with a slightly sweet malt character , where a touch of caramel can be felt. The beer is rounded off with a mild and dry bitterness that titillates the taste buds and creates balance and harmony.
Christianshavn Pale Ale is a light alcohol beer so can - and should - be enjoyed in abundance.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

22-MAY-2010, bottle @home. Just mowed the lawn and wanted something refreshing. And a good choise:) Very piney with grassy notes, grape, some malts to back up, and a loong smooth bitter aftertaste. Cannot remember if I had this before? Shame - a rebuy from the local brewery.

Bottle at cardinal. Almost clear, amber golden with a tall, dense, off-white head. Very fresh and citric nose. Fairly light in body with lightly sweet caramel notes. Lovely accents of pine and citrus with a bitterness.

On tap at Henrik, Bergen The colour is slightly hazy light amber with a white creamy medium head. A bit faint aroma of barley, fruity hops and some apricot. The flavour is pretty malty with tones of wet hay, grassy hops and grapefruit. Rich and slick mouth feel, and a lasting medium bitterness. Careful aroma but decent taste. Hoppy.

A golden ale with a thin dissipating white head. In aroma, a smooth biscuit malt with light honey and vinous notes, faint grassy hops remains. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with faint herbal hops, a tad oxidized.

On tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Small Pint (20cl). Pours a golden-orangish colour with white froth. Hops and toffee on the nose, matching the flavour pretty much. The taste combines fairly well the malt sweetness with the bitterness emanating from the hops (lingering). Some minor fruity notes are present, along with cereals. Mouthfeel is medium, soft carbonation. Good one.

0.5l bottle from #472. This is a deep blurry honey-golden colored one with a nice medium sized heavy lacing just off-white top. It’s quite fruity, hoppy and fresh on the nose with dry pine, bitter citrus, some Clementine zest and even a little hint of fennel seeds. Smells fresh and nice. It’s quite bitter at first, but it’s fading and it feels more balanced in the finish. Average on the carbonation and light oily on the mouthfeel. Pine, orange zest, red ripe berries and a lingering light tea-herbal bitter grassy finish. Quite mouthdrying in the aftertaste. A well hopped bitter little thing. 26.11.2012

Golden pour producing a slightly hazy body with a semi-diminishing white head. Inviting flowery, citrusy aroma with some malty caramel in the back. Crisp taste with medium to high bitterness and definite citrus in the taste. Caramel is still evident but rathes subdued, finish is bitter and semi-dry. Light body but smooth texture.

From a 500 ml bottle, the beer poured a clear darkish amber with golden highlights and a tight white head that persisted. Aromas of pine, tropical fruits and floral notes on the nose. The taste starts off with fresh fruit before a big hop bitterness comes in, but washes away in the back end that’s mainly biscuity malt. Seems like it wants to be an IPA, but just pulls back at the end. Surprisingly, the finish is light and clean; but there’s a really great aftertaste that lingers on the palate. Balanced, smooth and very refreshing. One of the best beers I’ve had so far this year.
