COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: To be totally honest, it wasn’t really part of our plans to brew a collaboration beer with Cigar City also this year. But we received a mail from head brewer Wayne Wambles saying: "Hey guys, I’m coming back for the Copenhagen Beer Celebration, why don’t we brew a beer?" And since Wayne is not only one of the nicest persons in the craft beer world but also one of the most innovative and skilled, it was an easy decision to make room in our schedule for another Cigar City collaboration. The beer of choice turned out to be "Orange Crush" a so called Session IPA - low in alcohol and potency, but high in drinkability. Heavily dry-hopped with the juiciest of American aroma hops: Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe and a solid dose of our secret ingredient, a super fragrant brand of American orange peel. Orange Crush is a bit of a quaffer - we’re almost certain, that you will like it. And Wayne….you’re welcome back anytime!

Ingredienser: vand. Malte: Pale, Crystal, Cara-pils. Humle: herkules, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic. Tørret appelsinskal. Gær: US-ale.

Golden hazy orange colour. Nice white head. Beautiful and refreshing aroma: orange, orange core and some other citrusses. Oranges, tangerines, slight bitternes. Citrussy in the end. Nice mouthfeel. Well balanced. Very well drinkable session IPA.

400ml on-tap at Himmeriget, Copenhagen (45 Danish Krone):
This one was a very enjoyable beer, even more so for a session IPA though as it didn’t seem to compromise on flavour & there was plenty of bitterness showing throughout. Despite not being overly complex, the beer was fresh & came with a nice mix of tropical fruits & citrus as well as some faint sweetness around the middle for the caramel malts. It was an easy beer to drink & one that I’d happily go for again; excellent stuff.

Look; modest white head, deep golden clean body, lots of precipitate. Aroma; many oranges, citrus peels, piney hops – fresh! Taste; hops, bitter, orange peels, roasted malts, wood. Finish; leafy lingering. Feel; semi dry, soft carbonation. Overall; top class beer. [50cl br btl 5%abv, BB01.04.16, T@Finn’sCastle03042016. 500ml bottle, batch 1015, kindly shared by Finn at a local drinking session. A filmy layer, that left dotted spots on the glass, over a clear golden-brown body. Fresh and attractive smell of orange. Mixed taste of orange juice and caramel malts followed by a drying ending of citrus shells. Fine bodied. Likable (Tromsø 03.04.2016).

Bottle from Saveur beer. Pours murky marmalade orange. Thin white head. Plenty of citrus orange on nose as you would expect. Spice, peel also. Flavour is caramel orange sweet with a short sharp bitterness. Marmalade orange aftertaste with a slight spice. Nice for a session.
