COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: To be totally honest, it wasn’t really part of our plans to brew a collaboration beer with Cigar City also this year. But we received a mail from head brewer Wayne Wambles saying: "Hey guys, I’m coming back for the Copenhagen Beer Celebration, why don’t we brew a beer?" And since Wayne is not only one of the nicest persons in the craft beer world but also one of the most innovative and skilled, it was an easy decision to make room in our schedule for another Cigar City collaboration. The beer of choice turned out to be "Orange Crush" a so called Session IPA - low in alcohol and potency, but high in drinkability. Heavily dry-hopped with the juiciest of American aroma hops: Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe and a solid dose of our secret ingredient, a super fragrant brand of American orange peel. Orange Crush is a bit of a quaffer - we’re almost certain, that you will like it. And Wayne….you’re welcome back anytime!

Ingredienser: vand. Malte: Pale, Crystal, Cara-pils. Humle: herkules, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic. Tørret appelsinskræl. Gær: US-ale.

23/XII/14 - 50cl bottle from De Caigny (Essen) @ home - BB: X/2015 (2014-1525) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for picking this one up for me!

Little cloudy orange beer, small off-white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, passion fruits, mandarins, citrus, ripe exotic fruits, some mango. MF: ok cabon, medium body. Taste: citrus and lots of it! Bit sourish, pretty bitter, orange peel, grassy, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: bitter, citrus, bit resinous, more grapefruit, grassy hop notes. Very nice beer!

500 ml bottle. Deep golden orange body with a fine, medium sized off-white head. Strong citric fruity aroma with peaches, oranges, pineapple and malt. Flavor is medium sweet malt, lots of citric fruit, oranges, oranges zest and pleasant bitterness. Fine body and good, citric fruity bitter aftertaste. A fine, well balanced IPA.

Bottle from rickfifty, thanks. Pours clear orange. Medium amount of white, bubbly head. Citrus, orange, pineapple, some grapefruit, pine and lime flavour. Quite thin. Lots of carbonation. A bit stingy. Medium bitter. Could be fuller and thicker, but very good.

Countbeer (4825) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2015
Bottle (50cl): Batch 892: Served in a shaker at good tenperature: Medium sized creamy off white head on top of a hazy amber orange colored beer. Aromas of hops, hop fruit, hop flowers and the slightest skunk. But what a hop! Flavour is, you guessed it right, hoppy! With fruits, bitters, floral fones, bit of a bite (spiced) and some yeast and green tones. Tasty! Aftertaste is spiced with bitters, herbs, hops and green tones. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Good stuff!

Flaska.

seems like i got an oxidised bottle or hope so,no fruit or any kind of orange aroma, distinctive grass and burned wood aroma which makes the beer undrinkable.possible signs of infected or oxidised beer need to try this again cause i was expecting a freaking good beer

Kauge (410) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle from Uba ja Humal in Tallinn (€ 6.50). Batch 892. BB 10/2015. The most massive floaty bits I’ve seen yet. This beer needs a pouring instruction - should I pour it carefully or not? Decided not to. Let’s see. It’s an opaque murky orange, loads of pieces floating around; head is big and bubbly, retention and lacing quite good. There is an incredible rush of orange and tangerine when opening the bottle, even more so when sniffing from the glass, it’s almost terrifyingly intense, piney and resiny, sugar-coated dried pineapples and mango, Mosaic and Simcoe also very much present in the mix... juicy, succulent, bitter... Taste is moderately sweet with biscuits and indistinct tropical fruits apparent, incredibly juicy, then the palate-crushing citric bitterness takes over, finishing in an equally bitter sensation, sticky and resinous, almost a bit too harsh, and dry on the palate... But there’s always a refreshing juiciness felt on the roof of the mouth. Carbonation way below average, body mediumish. Overall - despite the terrifying floaters and a slightly unbalanced bitterness this is a very fckn nice brew.
