COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: To be totally honest, it wasn’t really part of our plans to brew a collaboration beer with Cigar City also this year. But we received a mail from head brewer Wayne Wambles saying: "Hey guys, I’m coming back for the Copenhagen Beer Celebration, why don’t we brew a beer?" And since Wayne is not only one of the nicest persons in the craft beer world but also one of the most innovative and skilled, it was an easy decision to make room in our schedule for another Cigar City collaboration. The beer of choice turned out to be "Orange Crush" a so called Session IPA - low in alcohol and potency, but high in drinkability. Heavily dry-hopped with the juiciest of American aroma hops: Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe and a solid dose of our secret ingredient, a super fragrant brand of American orange peel. Orange Crush is a bit of a quaffer - we’re almost certain, that you will like it. And Wayne….you’re welcome back anytime!

Ingredienser: vand. Malte: Pale, Crystal, Cara-pils. Humle: herkules, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic. Tørret appelsinskræl. Gær: US-ale.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, very cloudy orange color, aroma of citrus and orange marmalade with a shrubby hint, herbal soapy flavor with some malt in the back. Drinkable but no more.

Bottle. Murky orange body, medium to small head. Aroma has oranges and zesty tangerines. Full-bodied mouthfeel. Sweet citric taste with decent hoppiness. Very fruity yet kind of simplistic. Feels more like a fruit beer. Such high ratings usually indicate some level of complexity but I personally don’t see it in this one.

Try it in Koper, from bottle. The colour is deep amber (20 EBC), The two finger head is airy and compact, leaving some lacing while sinking down. The smell is bitter with tart notes of lemon/lime and bitter herbs. some off flavor in it. Hints of yeast and dough, sweet orange peels . The taste is very bitter and a bit harsh. Bitter herbs. Some citric flavours. Medium body. The aftertaste is harsh and quite bitter with orange inner peels, fresh bitter herbs and a touch of rubber. The finish is quite short and bitter. Thank you Žiga, Hoppiness

Ultrapijalne.

Bottle from private buying club. Distinct orange taste, that’s good. The base beer was something else. Unique and still good drinkability. Good until February 2016. Lacy.
