COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours a black color with a small brown head - not much lacing. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, dried fruits, liquorice and whiskey. Flavour is rather vinous with dired fruits, coffee, chocolate, liquorice and whiskey. Rather warming alcohol. Not so sweet. Fullbodied with soft carbonation. A good beer.

Bottled. A pitch-black beer with thin and diminishing beige head. Intense aroma has alcohol, whiskey, dates, coffee, licorice and slightly vegetal/herbal hops. Sweetm thick maltiness, dark caramel, salty licorice and loads of ripes/dried fruits. Slightly alcoholic and bitter finish, lingering raisins and whiskey. Almost full bodied, oily, warming palate.

375ml Bottle: Got in trade from stobbe74; THANKS Soeren! Aroma of coffee, alcohol, maple syrup, vanilla, Bourbon, and brown sugar. Poured pitch black in color with a small, fizzy, tan/beige head that lasted around the edges only. Opaque. Very sparkling. Flavor is heavily sweet. Tastes much like it smells, with coffee, alcohol, maple syrup, vanilla, Bourbon, light wood, and brown sugar. Medium body. Fizzy, thin texture becomes lightly dry. Lively carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly dry, fizzy, coffee, alcohol, maple syrup, vanilla, Bourbon, light wood, and brown sugar finish. 12%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

It poured a pitch black liquid with a small brown head. Wineous smell with chocolate, coffee, dark malts etc. Similar taste but a bit chemical.

375ml bottle topped by a cork and a wire cradle, batch 146, bought at Ølbutikken in Copenhagen last autumn. Noisy tan-coloured head quickly reduced to a filmy layer. Jet black body. Rich and inviting aroma of confectionery chocolate, figs and bourbon. Nice chocolate malts to the flavour profile joined by dried fruits. Roasted coffee beans to the finish that also reflects the warmth of the bourbon. Perfect as a slow sipper on a Saturday night (Tromsø, 24.03.2012).

bottle courtesy of anker, thank you! solid ba coffe porter here, the coffee and whiskey work interestingly together. different, but good overall i feel. the whiskey is really bright, but dry, and the coffee is even dryer, very heavy and vinous. the flavor is really great, the mouthfeel takes some getting used to. has a thinner back end from the whiskey, but its still drinks really nice. im not sure, but if they were going for a cowboy coffee sorta taste, they did well. definitely a little grityy, a rougher beer putting refinement as a second thought.

Bottle. Thanks Nnudd. Pours jet black with a medium brown head. The aroma heavy bourbon whiskey, dark fruit, fruity hops, sweet chocolate, sweet malt and coffee. Very complex. Loads of dark fruit mixed with bourbon and coffee notes. Some hard roasted malt and sweet toasted caramel. Lots of things going on. It ends up dark fruity and vanilla oak like.

Mycket spritig whiskeydoft. Ingen jättekul smak - mycket sprit, arrak och fat. Lite småjobbig

Bottle. Dark brown with a minimal head. Aroma of whisky, roasted malt, alcohol and oak. About the same in the sweet taste. Not bad but not that exciting either.

0.375 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Black color. Sweet roasty aroma with licorice, raisins, dry sherry and cork. Roasty flavor with grassy wood and dry sherry. Not completely integrated, tastes like a porter with a dash of grain whisky and/or sherry.
