3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Papsoe and the Amager guys (huge thanks!), shared with ogivlado, heavy and TimE.
Actually fell through a crack in my plastic bag near the Copenhagen central station and started gushing but I managed to press the cap back into its place and it held on perfectly for the rest of the trip in all directions, retaining the carbonation as well. Poured a muddy dark brown body, with a big, persistent brownish head. Sticky nice fruity hoppy nose with notes of coffee. The taste started out herbal, bitter and salty even, but evened out soon enough. The herbal and agrumey aroma hops are strong, but balanced off somewhat by a roasty and woody maltiness. It’s not as brilliant as Black Nitro in my opinion, but another great Amager Black IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Pours a claer dak brown with a nice of-white, lasting head and lacings. Smells of c-hops. Quite dry and bitter with a tiny touch of sweetness. At first note you are greeted by grapefruity hopsnotes. Following that are heavy aromas of burnt malts with some coffee notes. Int the end it’s all bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Nice and complex.

Fløska. Hazy deep dark brown colour with a very nice big creamy very steady long lasting beige head leaving a very good sticky lacing. Very hoppy fruitish sweet aroma with liqourice, roasty malt and caramel. Good filling mouthfeel. The flavour has lots and lots of hops, pleasantly fruity and piney with roasted malt and caramel, liqourice and a great bitterness. Long lasting bitter sweet hoppy roasty finsh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Ølbutikken. Dark brown with a tan head. Potent, slightly perfumey and definitely citrussy hop nose. Hoppiness galore, very bitter, some candy sugar noticeable. Very interesting beer- ebony and ivory- well, it all ends in bitterness, it seems.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Very hoppy aroma dominated by the cascade hops. Dark brown colour with huge, frothy light brown head. Medium sweet malt flavour with a very dry finish due to the huge amount of hops. A funny fusion and a pleasant and very palable pleasure. Pale and black, sweet and bitter - how is that possible?

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Rating #412, bottle from Ølbutikken
A black beer with red hue and a fine, dense, head. I can’t find words for the aroma, it is just completed cascade and other stunning hops. Flavor has it all: Roasted malts, caramel, cascade, a solid hopping all the way through and an obvious touch of sweetness to balance it all out. I can’t imagine anything making this taste better than it is. Body could be just a tiny bit more sturdy though, but the beer has a very creamy mouthfeel.
Wow, this is great. Wait, I think of something: Why not try to make it in a barrel-aged version, and improve the body to perfection? Then it could be the first beer to hit a pure 5.0 in my ratings.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at KØ-10. It pours an unclear, dark brown body with a small, beige head. The aroma is quite lovely, citrusy and resiny with some caramel. Some alcohol and roasted malts in the flavor, caramel too, with citrusy, piney hops giving a good bitterness. Full-bodied and slightly warming. Alcohol and bitterness in the finish. Overall, a quite lovely beer, but a bit on the warm side. 100506

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Copenhagen festival 2010. Huge fluffy beige head that really lasted. Very dark brown color. Excellent display of lacework was left in the glass. Lots of hoppy notes here with grass, citrus, hint of grapefruit and floral notes coming through. Underlying roasted malty notes. Full bodied with an average carbonation and very dry texture. Heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry bitter hoppy finish.
