Danish.

English: Take a good thing and make it even better – that’s the philosophy behind Double Black Mash. This huge Imperial Stout was easily big and potent enough after the first mashing, but we thought what the heck let’s give it another spin. So we mashed it in a second time doubling everything that was already good while aiming for great. All grain, heavy duty, no nonsense. Did we hit what we aimed at? Well, that’s really up to you to decide. If you like it big and black this for is your kinda beer for sure.

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner, Pale, Münchener, Roasted Barley, Cara-hell, Melanoidin, Light chocolate, Cara-aroma, Crystal og Black, Humle: Cascade og Chinook, Gær: US Ale

Bottle from Mane Liquor. I was really impressed with this. Super aniseed driven IS with loads of plum sauce, sultana and fig. Christmas pudding like stuff but that liquorice focus right through the middle. Tasty

500 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Black body, with a big, creamy, dense, coffee colored head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark bread, some liquorice.
Wonderful, smooth taste of espresso, dark chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, nuts, some wood, slight dark fruits.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, alcohol warming, roasty, also sweet, with espresso, cocoa, liquorice.

Delicious! Smooth, complex and comfortable. Great balance between roasty and sweet malts, with wonderful espresso and cocoa notes. Not my favourite Imperial Stout, but still pretty much how I like this style.

0,5 l pullo @ kotimaistelu Wien. Todella tumma vaahto, öljyinen, täysin samea, tummanruskea. Paahteista mallasta, suklaata vähän, pehmeää kahvia. Loistava suutuntuma, täyteläinen. Maussa paahteista mallasta, tummaa suklaata. Arvostan, mutta ei vain mun suosikki.
