Danish.

English: Take a good thing and make it even better – that’s the philosophy behind Double Black Mash. This huge Imperial Stout was easily big and potent enough after the first mashing, but we thought what the heck let’s give it another spin. So we mashed it in a second time doubling everything that was already good while aiming for great. All grain, heavy duty, no nonsense. Did we hit what we aimed at? Well, that’s really up to you to decide. If you like it big and black this for is your kinda beer for sure.

Bottle shared with Niller - very dark brown verging black pour with a small tan head. Aroma and taste is roasted malty, choc, caramel, sweet malty, brown sugar, slight licorice, good roasted finish. Very nice.

The smell is good, sweet, a little alcohol, dark roasted malt. The taste is heavy and I mean really heavy. Does it have a good sweetness to start with, becoming a less bitter. Some chocolate and soya are felt. Also notable is that the beer has no carbonation. In my taste, so the beer was pretty mediocre. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Cunningham (4028) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 11, 2014
Appearance: A complete absence of light on the other side of this one. A nice creamy beige head that leaves an ok lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate and caramel.
Palate: Full thick oily body. Slightly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Soft to flat carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Mild chocolate, coffee, licorice and alcohol.
Overall impression: Plain imperial stout and unfortunately a bit boring. Also to much alcohol coming through.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget Beställningssortiment, Sweden

Milk chocolate, rye bread, liquorice, toffe and soy in the aroma. The soy precence bring the rating down
Pitch black, dark brown quickli dissipating head
Explosive flavour, the taste is actually so intense it is hard to distinguish among the different tastes. Dark chocolate, raisins and blueberrys can be found
Really full body with soft carbonation
This is a mighty imperial stout with a taste that really explodes in the mouth. It is actually to intense in the taste for me, also the soy in the aroma brings the rating down.
