Danish.

English: Take a good thing and make it even better – that’s the philosophy behind Double Black Mash. This huge Imperial Stout was easily big and potent enough after the first mashing, but we thought what the heck let’s give it another spin. So we mashed it in a second time doubling everything that was already good while aiming for great. All grain, heavy duty, no nonsense. Did we hit what we aimed at? Well, that’s really up to you to decide. If you like it big and black this for is your kinda beer for sure.

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner, Pale, Münchener, Roasted Barley, Cara-hell, Melanoidin, Light chocolate, Cara-aroma, Crystal og Black, Humle: Cascade og Chinook, Gær: US Ale

Hopmaestro (970) - Örebro, SWEDEN - FEB 1, 2016
Batch 970: Aroma is oozing from coffee, alcohol, licorice and all the other heavy stout notes you all like - only ten times more. Taste is heavy roasted malts with both fruity and vineous notes as well as almost a salty touch like soy sauce. Smooth and harsh at the same time. A wonderful imperial stout, and just what I needed.

A: Pitch black with a huge brown head that slowly disappears and leaves a thick lacing on the glass. N: heavy coffee, dark chocolate, tamarind, hint of caramel, some hint of raspberry and dark berries, small hint of ash as well. T: Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee/cafe latte, dark berries and tamarind again, toffee, hint of saltyness. O: Very nice mouthfeel! Thick and packed with flavours!
