Nov 1, 2009 500 ml bottle. Orange, golden body with an off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, alcohol and some kind of matured, spicy fruit – almost a bit like honey. Flavor is very sweet, malty, ripe fruit, spices and alcohol. Normally beers from this fine brewery impress me, but not this time. To sweet and unbalanced with some off flavors.

Oct 10, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Murky hold and a ring of white. Oranges, apples, other fruits and a sweet sugary overtone for aroma. Nice on the palate with a musky yeast flavor tagged with sticky fruit flavors and light alcohol in the finish.

Oct 9, 2009 Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Murky banana yellow pour. Has some spice on the nose. Also some light fruit. Taste is dry upfront with a bit of bitter fruit. Finish is all dry with hints of cough syrup.

Oct 8, 2009 Bottle with a best before of 8/2010 thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a white head and a murky yellow body. Aroma is peppery and earthy with a decent amount of hops, pine and alcohol. Taste is bitter and spicy with hops, alcohol, apple and pepper. Fizzy and dry finish.

Aug 8, 2009 Stupendously huge, dense yellowish head, towering over hazy yellow-orange beer with yet another blob on the bottlebottom (cute word). Very spicy nose, with citrus, coriander, pepper, horseradish and dry malts; astringency in the nose, if that makes any sense. Liquorice assault, fortified with white pepper. Background sweetness, part white candi sugar, part fruity, part malts. Retronasal citrus hints again at coriander. Gradually, the omnipresent liquorice dulls down, making it more dry-fruity, but I’m still searching for the mango, the passion fruit, not to mention that Jackfruit! Pretty alcoholic, medium bodied, some burning MF. I’m not exactly convinced.
