Commercial Description:

English: Dragor Tripel is a top-fermented beer to which we have sought inspiration from the strong, Belgian abbey ales of the ”Tripel” type. In this beer it is the sweetness and the alcohol that are in immediate focus. The beer appears light-amber golden and has a creamy head. The aroma of pure fruits – exotic fruits despite the Belgian muse. Altogether you sense mango, passion fruit, and jack fruit – as well as a discrete hint of strawberries. The full body has a solid element of light malts, where the yeast makes a note of itself – just as it is supposed to do. In contrast to other sweet abbey types of beer, the sweet malts in our Dragor Tripel are effectively challenged by the Halletauer hop, which in particular gives our Tripel its finish.

Dense, murky dark peach colour. Lots of yeast sediment, fine bubbles rising from sediment. Appearance of fresh, unfiltered apple juice. Small head, fine foam. Interesting nose - reminiscent of a young white wine - gooseberries. Alcoholic taste, then spicy. Spiced rum? Sweet, heavy aftertaste, then bitter.

Bottle@Home. Sweet fruits in the aroma like apple, pineapple and apricot. Hazy, yellow colour, white irregular head, fair lace. Sweet, bitter, very fruity, light herbal, lightly spiced (pepper). Full and alcoholic. Flavourful and balanced.

Bottle at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Cloudy gold/orange, lasting thin beige head. Yeast, orange, tangerine. Yeast is a bit messy on the aroma. Good tart tangerine in mouth. Good I thought. Bought by Ang/Reakt.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Pigs Ear.
Murky amber gold with a very slight head. Very Belgian and yeasty, very spritely and fruity. Clearly a tripel but the fruit is a little more pronounced than usual and really thick and juicy. Superb hit of germoline really makes it. Chewy and enjoyable. A solid tripel with knobs on. Good beer and it’s not really a style I like either.

Flaske 0,5 l fra bestillingsutvalget til Systembolaget. Gylden brun på farge. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer lenge. Deilig krydret aroma: Pepper i nesen. Smaken er litt syrlig & krydret. Litt mye kullsyre. Tørr bitter ettersmak. Uklar på slutten. KI=4

500 ml bottle. Orange, golden body with an off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, alcohol and some kind of matured, spicy fruit – almost a bit like honey. Flavor is very sweet, malty, ripe fruit, spices and alcohol. Normally beers from this fine brewery impress me, but not this time. To sweet and unbalanced with some off flavors.
