Commercial Description:

English: Dragor Tripel is a top-fermented beer to which we have sought inspiration from the strong, Belgian abbey ales of the ”Tripel” type. In this beer it is the sweetness and the alcohol that are in immediate focus. The beer appears light-amber golden and has a creamy head. The aroma of pure fruits – exotic fruits despite the Belgian muse. Altogether you sense mango, passion fruit, and jack fruit – as well as a discrete hint of strawberries. The full body has a solid element of light malts, where the yeast makes a note of itself – just as it is supposed to do. In contrast to other sweet abbey types of beer, the sweet malts in our Dragor Tripel are effectively challenged by the Halletauer hop, which in particular gives our Tripel its finish.

Bottle @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Cloudy golden color, short head. Aroma of spicy triple, belgian styled. Quite hoppy as well though, which is not quite common in belgian brews. Reasonable bitter taste, spicy.

Bottle: Deep reddish golden, hazy, floaties visible, mid-sized quite stable loose head; sweet grainy nose with a hoppy tinge, a bit alcoholic; solid, mainly sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet grassy finish with a light tartness and a very light hoppiness in the very end. Quite well made brew........

Deep golden (orange), hazy. Tall off white head. Malty sweet, mild aroma and flavour. Fruity. Peaches. Pears. Notes of yeast. Soft carbonation. Alcohol. Not really full bodied tripel - has a good belgian sense of direction...

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Hazy, murky golden colour with loads of floaties and a mid-sized foamy white head. Dusty, sweet and sour-fruity nose with coriander spice, liquorice and notes of alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malt-character, subtle fruity taste with spices; sweet and quite lasting finish with a present but non-disturbing alcohoolic burn (23.04.08).

Bottle. Sort of blurry, amber appearnce with somewaht messy white head. A little overbearing in terms of strength, but a pretty well-balanced mix of flavours, with banana and spices coming through.
