Commercial Description:

English: Dragor Tripel is a top-fermented beer to which we have sought inspiration from the strong, Belgian abbey ales of the ”Tripel” type. In this beer it is the sweetness and the alcohol that are in immediate focus. The beer appears light-amber golden and has a creamy head. The aroma of pure fruits – exotic fruits despite the Belgian muse. Altogether you sense mango, passion fruit, and jack fruit – as well as a discrete hint of strawberries. The full body has a solid element of light malts, where the yeast makes a note of itself – just as it is supposed to do. In contrast to other sweet abbey types of beer, the sweet malts in our Dragor Tripel are effectively challenged by the Halletauer hop, which in particular gives our Tripel its finish.

Comments: A dark, but balanced, fun, honeyed and banana oriented tripel that keeps its sweetness at bay with a healthy hop dose.

Bottle. Nice and beautiful white head with excellent duration. Color amber golden. Aroma is heavy with yeast and alcohol. Taste is yeast, fruits and alcohol. Actually a little too much alcohol in taste.

Nice hazy golden colour. The aroma is malty, fruity, yeasty and spicy. Flavour is sweet malty with a whiff of hops in the finish. Finish is soft and dried fruity sweet. Indeed a very nice tripel beer from Denmark.

Bottled (BBE 07/2009, batch #25)
Deep orange color, huge cloudy off-white head, lace. Yeasty, sweet fruity aroma: peach, apricot, smoke (!), candy sugar and brandy. Very hoppy, almost Duvel-like aggression. Warming alcohol leads to long long bitter aftertaste. Some fruity flavors (peach) and spices (coriander). Cellaring propably would change this - to better? Can’t say.

Hazy gold with a large lasting fluffy head. Yeast, spices & orange fruits. Filling body. Lively carbonation - yet still smooth & soft. Some warmth & sweetness... Great!

Bottled (Thanks Papsoe and Theis). Hazy orange colour, mediumsized foamy off-white head. Slightly lacing. Aroma is slight barnyard, yeast and lots of fruits. Flavour is the same along with some roasted/smoked notes. Also has a slight burning touch from the alcohol. Long smoky and fruity aftertaste. Pleasantly balanced flavour.

Bottled. An unclear orange-amber beer with a thin light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and fruits - especially peaches, but also a light note of wheat. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices and light notes of wheat on a good caramel back ground, leading to a very bitter finish.
