COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Dragør Triple is a top-fermented beer, for which we have taken inspiration from the strong Belgian klosterøl type "Tripel ". The immediate focus is on sweetness and alcohol the aroma is pure exotic fruit despite the Belgian model: mangoes, passion fruit , star fruit and jack fruit - and a discreet hint of strawberry. The body is extremely rich with a strong element of pale malts , which alows the yeast flavour to be prominent - just as it should be.
Dragør Triple is a beer of pleasure for both sexes. The ladies will enjoy the sweetness and exotic fruit flavours ,whilst the gentlemen will be attracted by the warmth of the alcohol.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

Hazy light amber color. The aroma is malty and fruity, not too strong. Strong body structure, full malty, sweet, fruity, spicy, good yeast choice. Good bitterness level. And it’s still young! Excellent

(Bottled) Very hazy golden-amber with a largeish, foamy head. Sweetish, orange-fruity, yeasty, ginger, coriander. Slightly acidic, but extremely fruity flavor with slight alcohol hints, and a mildly acidic, dry finish. Medium to full-bodied, slightly foamy-carbonated palate. A very true to the style, very fruity, balancedly spicy and acidic, beautiful triple.

This is indeed classic tripel. Looks the business in the glass, good bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Big frothy white head looking like a huge thunder head or cumulonimbus cloud. Slowly recedes over a long time. I had to pour it in two lots unfortunately, the original pour is pretty clear with a slight haze through it, truly golden, the second is a hazy orange due to some more sediment escaping into the glass. However it is interesting to taste the two back-to-back. Aroma is classic, yeasty, slight farmyard, hoppy, lots of citrus and some warmer orangey notes. Less fruit and more basic ingredients in the aroma reminding me alot of Trapist style tripels such as Westmalle. This follows into the flavour, very yeasty, some sweetness/sugars, background sweet malts. Not as fruity as the description suggests in my opinion... I can definitely get more tropical fruits, a little grapefruit, some almost pineapple notes. Finishes with warm yeast, and lovely belgian hops. The finish is not too dry, just right. Once again alcohol is hidden well, however, not as impressively as some of Amager’s other brews. All in all, great tripel but not as inspiring as their other efforts basically due to the fact that it doesn’t really do anything with the original flavour that I haven’t tasted before. It seems to me that they have proven themselves proficient in there abilities to brew perfect Trapist tripel - which is no mean feat - however, they haven’t taken it beyond that. Great beer though, I’m just calling it how I see it.
