COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Special version of the Amager Drei von Dänen smoked Baltic porter, aged in cognac barrels.

500ml bottle, thanks to Papsoe This beer pours black with a very light, frothy tan head that holds up a long time. The taste is dry roasty with notes of chocolate, vanilla and a touch of smoke. I didn’t taste a whole lot of cognac, but all in all, this is a very nice beer.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with creamy tan coloured head. Good lacing as it drops away. Nose shows plenty of roasted grain, some bitter chocolate, espresso coffee and vanilla from the wood. Flavours show lots of roasted grain bitterness with some of the vanilla coming through also. Slight earthy sourness. Very full mouthfeel. Nice

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours jet black with a huge lightly tanned head. Aroma is light smoke, wood, cocoa powder and a light vanilla-like note of cognac. Light smoke and chocolate at the forefront. Finishes with liquorice, ash and smooth semi-sweet cognag notes. Mouth feel is medium full with very light carbonation and a little bit of heat. Cognac tones are very balanced in this beer. Good brew

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque pitch black with a wonderful velvety brown, lacing brown head. Hard roast nose, coffee and vanilla with a whiff of smoke. Solid body, chewy, meaty, dusty hoppiness, slightly mildewy and a very hevy roastiness. Very malty bitter. The Cognac character is very, very downplayed. Enjoyable. 310811
