COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: When sunbeams reach the forest floor, when winter aconites and crocuses begin to blossom, and when young girls on bicycles in skimpy skirts pose traffic hazard for hormone bubbly young men with their eyes elsewhere than on the traffic, then you know for sure that spring has arrived! At this time of the year it is time for beer lovers to leave the heavy and dark beers in the fridge, and start looking for lighter beers. This “Spring Beer” from Amager Bryghus is a “Bière de Garde” type of beer, which is full of spicy flowers and pollen tones. Rich malt with notes of caramel and dry hopping ensure that the beer isn’t at all too sweet. Bière de Garde actually means "beer for storage" but never mind that we say as our “Spring Beer” must be enjoyed here and now. We dare you… you can hardly resist if you are as excited as we are that springtime has finally come!

Botlle. Hazy and orange in colour with a small off white head. A bit too malty to be a spring beer - notes of malt, barnyard, flowers and hops.

Aroma is slight fruity and minerally with some dust. Taste is straightforward and neutral farmhouse style flavors. Nothing special going on. Easy to drink, light hops, lightly sweet. A little boring.

Dark blond colour. Aroma is very floral with some honey sweetness and pale malts. The flavour has an interesting but not overpowering sweetness. The pale malts also come through strongly.

6.5%ABV. Bierre de Garde. Poured out of the bottle a rich honey gold, about 16ºSRM. Nose was full of beautiful sweet floral scents like freesias and wisteria in bloom. There are some clean sweet malty aromas that are just achingly mouthwatering. There is a hint of the first strawberries. Beautiful lightly roasted malty flavors predominate, predictably with flavors of graham cracker, bisciut, with a light caramel flavor, buttery toffees, but less so. There is a nice nutty flavor. You have to sruggle to figure all this out as the dry hopping creates a miasma of herbaceous flavors like green apple peel, lemon zest and grapefruit peel. Finish is hyssop bitter. Prolonged and bitter in the very best, refreshing and satisfying way that only well-chosen hops dropped in at just the right moment can deliver.

There are things rare or very rare: a Danish beer with a French style? The beer is not bad perel price is excessive, and the amount of beer. I do not understand how a people denmark waste time making beer French style not noted for their quality.

0,5 l botttle bought at the brewery. Unclear bright red golden or orange in the glass, one big finger white steady head. Fruity and biscuit on the nose. Taste starts with orange and honey, caramell, followed by a smooth but present and long lasting hopy sequence. Licorice hints. Great stuff! Maybe personally a little bit overrated, but I had 5 danish ALDI market beers in a row before.

Bottle @ amager bryghus. Appearance: pours cloudy amber/otange with good white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, caramel hints, straw and lots of floral and spicy notes. medium to strong spicy floral aroma, average to sparkling carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, balanced by a medium bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: very enjoyably, tasteful and refreshing
