COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: It is said that behind every great man is an equally great - and above all - wise woman.
Now this can also be said of the beer world. Perhaps our most famous beer, Hr. (Mr.) Frederiksen is a powerful dude, who enjoys nothing more than to stand and admire his own muscles. Fru (Mrs.) Frederiksen however is a wise woman who knows perfectly well that it is possible to achieve almost as much without using anywhere near as much force.
This Lady is just as powerful but is somewhat toned down compared to the Lord. Slightly sweeter and less smokey although with plenty of black malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley she is no complete sissy - the US Centennial hops with its 60+ IBUs reminds you of this fact.
Bid the mistress welcome - she is here to stay.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Bottle at Churchkey. Silky black with a sexy beige head. Delicate lacing, and nice legs! Scent of licorice, smoked espresso, nutmeg, and chastity. She is a bit drier than her husband, more subtle, slightly sweet, with flavors of prunes and grapes, but a spicy edge of black pepper. Very attractive.

500ml bottle. Pours a very smooth unsticky near black with a wonderful foamy fizzy light tan airy head. Aroma accented by a touch of alcohol, super clean roast, no coffee, oats, smoothly floral, plummy, super clean, and thanks to the Amager guys for giving me some insights as to why = ) ! Flavor follows, light bitterness, no coffee, unique bitterness and faint sweetness that reminds me of the plumminess of some trappist beers, oats, super clean. Medium bodied, smooth with zero stickiness, very well attenuated, beautiful, light sizzling carbonation, very easy drinking. A delight.

500mL bottle poured into a snifter. Pours black in the glass with some reddish hints showing through the edges. The head is small and beige, receding to a small cap with some delicate lacing. The aroma is dominated by roasted black malts, almost burnt notes, cocoa and a surprisingly noticeable hop presence. There is a bit more sweetness than the Hr Frederiksen. The taste is more of the same with some sweet chocolate malts and toasted, smoky black malts combining to form the backbone of the taste with the citrus from the hops layered on top with some dark fruit sweetness as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied for the style, though it’s certainly on the lighter side if you’re expecting an impy stout. This is almost a semi-imperial stout as it’s got much of the complexity and flavor of an impy stout but with a lighter body. It makes it seriously drinkable.

0,5 l bottle, bought at PreZBF Festival, Belgium.
Poured black with a fantastic foamy, beige head with small bubbles. Deep roasted aroma with a ton of dried fruits, fine espresso-like coffee and molasses, caramel, dark chcolates and a lurking hop perfume. Medium bodied stout witha well rounded, smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is full of coffee, roasted grains, dark chocolates and tobacco, some sweet molasses, nice hops in the finish. Roasted coffe-like, dry aftertaste. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Some lacings. The smell is of chocolate, smooth roasted malts and piny and peppery hops. Hints of coffee as well, and perhaps a faint smoky note. The taste has some sweetness to it with notes f roasted malts, chocolate and wood. And again, I get a faint note of smoke. Lots of piny hops. The finish is bitter, but a bit bland aroma-wise with notes of coffee, hops and chocolate. Rather light body, smooth and easy to drink. Not as in-your-face as Herr Frederiksen and the brewery’s regular imperial stout, but there’s something about the hop profile in Amager’s beers that I don’t really like - it’s too raw, piny and unidimensional.
