COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: It is said that behind every great man is an equally great - and above all - wise woman.
Now this can also be said of the beer world. Perhaps our most famous beer, Hr. (Mr.) Frederiksen is a powerful dude, who enjoys nothing more than to stand and admire his own muscles. Fru (Mrs.) Frederiksen however is a wise woman who knows perfectly well that it is possible to achieve almost as much without using anywhere near as much force.
This Lady is just as powerful but is somewhat toned down compared to the Lord. Slightly sweeter and less smokey although with plenty of black malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley she is no complete sissy - the US Centennial hops with its 60+ IBUs reminds you of this fact.
Bid the mistress welcome - she is here to stay.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Bottle. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, peat, dough and licorice. Nice. Very dark brown that sits jet black in the glass with an average light tan head that mostly diminished and left great lace. Flavor is very sweet and medium/heavy bitterness. Palate is medium/full bodied and watery soft. Overall a really nice stout. Great aroma and flavor that really shows off the chocolate and roasted malt profile. The hops are very well balanced and do not overpower the finish with bitterness. A very good stout that is right up there with Bells Kalamazoo stout. Just loved it.

esox (1189) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Bottled. Black Beer, creamy tan head. Roasted grainy, licoricy notes, a touch of caramelly biscuit aroma. Fruity fermentation aromas. Sturdy, almost creamy maltiness, ripe fruitiness, sweetly herbal hops, dry and resiny bitter finish with coffee and dark chocolate. Velvety, very soft texture, good carbonation. Very good stout.

Maris (1153) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - DEC 16, 2012
From a 500ml bottle on 17/12/2012 (Batch Number 420, BB 02/2015). Pours close to black with a smallish head. Has quite a big chocolate and caramel aroma. This stout is big on flavour with heaps of dark chocolate, licorice, some caramel, and roasted malt to burn. The sweetness up front is quickly overtaken by a quite wonderful, long, massive bittermess where both lashings of hops and burnt malt are evident. The palate is slightly creamy and the carbonation a touch higher than average. Fru Frederiksen is one formidable and quite impressive lady!

Bottle, 50cl - Opaque dark brown beer with a beige brown head. Aroma is malty with notes of oat, milk, coffee, soy sauce and vanilla. Flavor is malty with notes of roasted grains, some alcohol and chocolate. Very good though a bit too young.

humlelala (1114) - DENMARK - OCT 13, 2011
(50 cl bottle; Batch #268, BBD: June 2018) Pours black with solid, tan head, lace and retention. Quite a bit of yeast sediment. Aroma is dark, toasted malt with notes of licorice and a slight, but not unpleasant whiff of alcohol. Full-bodied, oily texture, softly carbonated with a lightly bitter finish. Taste is moderately dark bitter and smooth with some minor, acidic notes. Girlfriend says: "It was very dark, coffee and roasted. It was okay.."

500ml bottle as a sweet bonus from foppa78. thanks, mat! pours a dark, cola-brown with a thin, bubbly, khaki head and a tight ring of lace. aroma is great, pretty unique, with strong, dark chocolate, roast, and charcoal with interestingly sweet, fruity notes of plum skins and berry backed by light coffee and topsoil. flavor is excellent as well with loads of smooth oatmeal, roast, and cocoa powder up front backed by cold coffee, earth, cigar ash, and licorice with the slightly tart notes of plum from the aroma showing up late in the sip. palate is medium bodied with solid carbonation and a bitter, chalky, ashy finish. overall, a damn nice stout.
