COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: It is said that behind every great man is an equally great - and above all - wise woman.
Now this can also be said of the beer world. Perhaps our most famous beer, Hr. (Mr.) Frederiksen is a powerful dude, who enjoys nothing more than to stand and admire his own muscles. Fru (Mrs.) Frederiksen however is a wise woman who knows perfectly well that it is possible to achieve almost as much without using anywhere near as much force.
This Lady is just as powerful but is somewhat toned down compared to the Lord. Slightly sweeter and less smokey although with plenty of black malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley she is no complete sissy - the US Centennial hops with its 60+ IBUs reminds you of this fact.
Bid the mistress welcome - she is here to stay.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Basically a lighter version of HR wich, put simply, is good. It’s fairly light bodied yet packed with nice chocolate flavour, hops and a smokey touch. Quite lovely really.

Bottle at Ølbutikken. Pours black with a tan head. Smells of hops, coffee and some minor hints of red berries. Tastes a heavy sweet and strong espresso bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Finishes a semisweet oily bitter with a long duration.

The notes of anise and licorice in the taste and aroma, that were more present when the beer was colder, are not very much to my liking. A little warmed up, I must say this is a terrificly well balanced and wonderfully complex brew. Coffee, chocolate, dried fruits, caramel and a lasting hoppiness make this beer very interesting. As I heard in a TV commercial, Audi cars were banned from some rallye car races due to "unfair advantages"; this beer, categorized as a simple stout, even with its 7% ABV, also has some disloyal advantages with its impressively rich and highly malty body... Audi makes great cars. Amager makes great beers, like this unboring stout.

Bottle. Pours black with a small but dense beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some light fruits and lots of hops. It has a roasty aftertaste which is bother bitter and very dry. Not bad, but I prefer Hr. Frederiksen.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Some lacings. The smell is of chocolate, smooth roasted malts and piny and peppery hops. Hints of coffee as well, and perhaps a faint smoky note. The taste has some sweetness to it with notes f roasted malts, chocolate and wood. And again, I get a faint note of smoke. Lots of piny hops. The finish is bitter, but a bit bland aroma-wise with notes of coffee, hops and chocolate. Rather light body, smooth and easy to drink. Not as in-your-face as Herr Frederiksen and the brewery’s regular imperial stout, but there’s something about the hop profile in Amager’s beers that I don’t really like - it’s too raw, piny and unidimensional.

Aroma is nice in a wierd way, i guess it’s the hops that are messing with my nose. Black with beige head. Smooth chocolate and medium bitterness. Finish is long and hippy. Medium body. Perfect for a stout - imperial part
