COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy ruby chestnut, with a large off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Spiced fruit, biscuit malt and fruitcake make up the aroma. Spicy hops up front give way to fruitcake and biscuit malt in the mid-palate, with plenty of ginger snap biscuit notes in the finish. An enjoyable ESA.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of caramel, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger biscuits, dark bread and orange peel. Malty, spicy taste with caramel, orange peel, rye bread, cinnamon, clove, ginger biscuits and a spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite a spicy (almost too spicy actually) winter warmer. Could be more balanced, but still quite nice.

Boutip (4828) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 21, 2014
Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with very subtle toffee notes is good enough. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with very little residual sugars and some light toffee notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Typical winter warmer that doesn’t really stands out from the pack as much as I had hope considering the brewers involved.
