Exqusite looks! Deep black, no brown to be seen. Lovely staying, creamy, cappucino head. Wonderful duration and it leaves great, fat lacings on my glass. Aroma is elegant. Dark chocolate, dark berries, spiciness, rye bread (sour dough), some slight smoke. Low to medium carbonation, light and very dry mouthfeel with a little creaminess. Flavour is very different from a lot of other stouts. The rye is very evident, adding a lot of spiciness. Some roasted malts, mild smoke, light vinious. Mild dark chocolate. Heavy bitter hoppy finish. Long, lingering bitter finish with a good bitterness.
